>:[ typo misgendering Shtel on page 201 of Radiant Star:
Shtel rose. "That's impossible," she asserted. But doubt crept in behind her certainty.
So...... does this mean sie was originally a binary woman and this part wasn't edited properly? That's not how traditional publishing is supposed to work. They're supposed to be more than one person reading this to catch things like this.
oof! That was almost certainly my fingers, which are much more accustomed to typing "she" than "sie" and then the copyeditor didn't catch it either. I'm sorry!
Shtel was never a binary woman and was always "sie" from the beginning of planning the novel. This is definitely down to my own flaws as a typist and proofreader.
Will there be a print run with corrections? Or an update to the e-book?
(By the way, I got a printed copy of Radiant Star yesterday. Some books need to be on the shelf, not just on the e-reader.)
Maybe? I can let my editor know and after that it's out of my hands. I will definitely let her know, though.
Ooh, thanks for letting me know!
And I did find another one on page 282:
She looked at him in astonishment
But the only person "him" could be referring to is Keemat
WELL SHIT
Ok I will pass these on.
