It's lunchtime...
...and I just remembered that one time when we were preparing food at my, hm… friend's apartment.
When there's chopped vegetables just sitting there, unattended, I help myself. So I grabbed a few pieces of raw potato and casually popped them in my mouth the way I've done my entire life.
The looks I got, oh boy… I've never seen someone's mouth literally fall open and stay like that for a couple of seconds.
I was clueless, so I asked "What's wrong…?" And they started panicking, like, "You're going to DIE, it's poisonous!"
Which was news to me, because I've been eating raw potato since I was a kid and had no idea it wasn't normal until that moment.
(PS: I still do it, I now know that it's not very healthy - though it is definitely not poisonous - but I'm weak)
