tips i use for this and similar things (audhd)
don't put the bottle back, move it outside of the shower so it is out of place
similarly if you need to take something with you, in the moment you are thinking about it, PUT IT IN FRONT OF THE DOOR
make it inconvenient. for some tasks, the more inconvenient it is, the more likely i'll do it just to get it over with. like putting your alarm in the other room
say it out loud to yourself until you do it. this is good when leaving the room to grab something or when you're going to write something down ("grab paper towels grab paper towels grab paper towels")
if you have a smart device or keep your phone near you, add a daily reminder for the next week to get shampoo using Siri or Alexa or Google Home or whatever
depending on how your shopping routine works - keep a list of basic items that you run through everytime you do a major shop, or go by room in your head
if you have a small dry erase board or set of post it notes in every room that may help you. i've tried this and it does not work for me
and while writing this it occured to me if you put all your empty bottles/containers that need refilled in one pile/box/bag, you could just go through that to see what needs refilled. might work for some people
