I love traveling. Love seeing places and the things in these places I have never seen before or don’t see on a regular. I take many photos and most often these end up being inspiration for my work. One thing I wish I would of done more of before leaving WI is to explore my local area more. The things you find in your own backyard. Highly recommend. It helps inspire when stuck to just get out for a bit and appreciate all you have near. Don’t need to get on a plane. Just drive around and take a walk. I took a million photos while in Ireland. I created art there too that I will forever cherish. (The last photo is a piece that would end up being stolen from me and my front steps here in the US.) It’s amazing I even went while in the throes of being so thrown off balance in my personal life. I really did just put myself on a plane with the hope I could get it together in a far off place. I don’t know if I did get myself together. But I did feel a peace I had never felt before there in the land of my ancestors. A knowing. A familiar knowing is the only way I can describe what I felt.
