Design ideas for my logo that I will be incorporating into my Portfolio website. [22/10/2018]
Did some more Mono printing. This time the focus was to produce a print that has blocks of colour in the background and then the usual black-line drawing over the top. [09/10/2018]
Focusing on using the HDRΒ βHigh Dynamic Rangeβ function, I went out into Dewsbury and took images relating to the theme ofΒ βUrban Landscapeβ. These four photos are my personal favourites out of todayβs work after they were processed through Photoshop. [08/10/2018]
A Mono print I made in Unit 42 using a photo I took in town nearby, based on the theme of "Urban Landscape".

Books I am borrowing from the library to gather references and information relating to Print making and Urban Landscape.
Picture showing my progress as I refined my paper can. Left to right for earliest to latest, which is my best so far as all of the faces on the net are perfect and line up. [02/07/2018]
The final design for my coat of arms as it is being transferred and then the final results. [27/06/2018]
A first attempt at a paper net recreation of the tin can I have been studying in my drawings. I used Photoshop to create my net. Things that need improving are the circumfrance of my can, as it is a bit larger than the top and bottom parts and the height could be adjusted to better represent the original object. I will be making other paper nets based off of the same can, but using different experimental drawing styles in back/white, linking in with Katharine Morling's style. [26/06/2018]
Today, I transferred my final design for my coat of arms onto a tea towel. I am happy with the outcome and I feel as though the design works well as a more modern take on the original Dewsbury coat of arms while maintaining some of the older aspects. [27/06/2018]

A plan for things I need to get finished. [22/06/2018]
Today we explored using cardboard as a medium and how it's natural properties can be used to create different textures and shapes. I kept to my current idea of using tin cans as my still life. In the final picture, you can see how I ended up changing how I made the rim of my can, as it looked like it could be improved upon to lool more like the actual object I have chosen. [19/06/2018]
Using the paper template I had made previously with the correct measurements from my chosen object, I today created a basic cylinder shape out of the clay slabs we had rolled out yesterday and left to harden. Some things had to be changed/altered in the final stages of making my ceramic object, as some of the initial measurements did not match up once the clay had been stretched to create it's cyliner shape. I will keep this in mind when making my next ceramic object. [19/06/2018]
Samples/practice pieces for joins using leather hardened ceramic clay. First picture shows a basic/simple join, the other pictures depict a 90Β° angle join. [19/06/2018]
Quick drawings I did of two different versions of the object I have been observing. I used the 5 main experimental drawing techniques, done once each with both versions of the can. [11/06/2018]

Another net I have made for a paper object based off of my experimental drawings of tin cans (Continuous line). I used black paint to achieve a style similar to the work of Katharine Morling and her ceramic everyday objects. [18/06/18]
Today, we worked in the Ceramics room and began rolling out slabs of clay to get ready for tomorrow, once it has turned leather hard; we will be using the slabs to create simple everyday objects of our choosing. I will be working from tin cans that I have been recently doing observational drawings and paper nets from. [18/06/2018]
