I have read A LOT of Shen Jiu Fics, his character is just so interesting! My doomed by the narrative wife :,( Anyways, I hope this is somewhat readable and not too badly formatted <3

A absolute masterpiece! Probably on indefinite hiatus but still absolutely worth a read! Shen Yuan transmigrates into a side character that is affected by demonic energy and starts to live with Shen QingQui, found family ensues. They are father and son, I love them so much. It gives also a characterization of SJ through SYĀ“s eyes! 10/10 no notes!
Cellmates by Aryashi 45K Words Completed Canon Divergence [QiJiu]
What would happen if Yue QingYuan would find out that his Xiao Jiu has been replaced by an imposter? He would do anything to get him back! Featuring ghost!Shen Jiu and Shen Yuan having a bad bad time! But donāt worry there is a hopeful ending for everyone involved!

Shen Jiu and Yue QingYuan switch bodies and trauma filled hijinks happen. This is just such a great characterization of both SJ and YQY, their shared past, their trauma and all the misunderstandings that they had along the way. It is a continuation of Now my blood is yours by the equally talented buryyourgaydar who also writes amazing stuff!! All of Prim_The_AmazingĀ“s works are awesome and amazing and make you feel A LOT about characters and their motivations! (I canāt recommend The righteous and unimpeachable Xuan Su Sword anymore!!)
Shen Yuan of no Relation by Gemi 365K+ Words Ongoing Alternate Universe [BingYuan, QiJiu]
A classic, a masterpiece, probably well known by most of the fandom! One of the first fics in the fandom I read and still read every new update the minute it is posted! There are few fics that take an AU that is so common and make it stand out by the complexities in the character relations and the worldbuilding!
Adjacent to this is also By Hook or by Crook by Gemi and Prim_The_Amazing (100K+ Words Ongoing AU) that is the writer crossover that I never knew I needed! Shen Yuan transmigrates into Ming Fan and has to navigate the life of a bully who does not want to be a bully anymore. A very compelling outsiderās perspective on Shen Jiu and how most people would have probably seen him in canon!
Behind a clock no longer chiming by Jinxed_Ink 50K Words Completed AU [BingYuan, QiJiu]
After his canon death Shen Jiu transmigrates into SVSSS Shen QingQuis body that he now has to share with Shen Yuan. A lovely thought experiment on how Shen Jiu could be in a world where he could try and heal from his trauma and what he would do if he was not bound by any explanations!
The Shape of Water by Gaby007 320K Words Ongoing Omegaverse AU [QiJiu]
I am not usually a A/B/O reader (mostly because a lot of works are just rampantly sexist, and not in the exploratory fun way) but this one is very interesting to me. The experience of body horror of pregnancy and the way of how an incredibly traumatized and flawed character would deal with parenthood are themes that I think more fiction should explore! Just a great fic about a lot of flawed characters that have to navigate a world that does not accept them the way they are!

Light and L are the worlds most politically incorrect politicians and basically selfdestruct in their toxic and awful and perfect relationship for almost 1 mil words. I absolutely loved this and still think about this like once a day. And the author posted a new chapter in the beginning of the year after like the longest time so we can probably, maybe hope for more! Trigger warnings for SA and general debauchery.

This is also an absolute favorite of mine.
After Ls death Light and him are trapped in a time-loop that starts when Light finds the deathnote. Both L and Light are absolutely spot on and feel so smart, wich is so hard to write. Their relationship is obsessive and crazy and it feels like it could genuinely happen that way in canon. Also very good Misa representation!

Very very new but feels like it could be a fandom classic! Started posting in 2025 and is being updated!
It reminded me of the fandom classic Nights by yourmyqueen from the tone and feel of it. Light is a student and to investigate the Kira case the wammy-kids enrolled there. They are all awful and crazy and completely selfcentered and the interactions between the characters are just so good! Also heavy trigger warning for SA, Drugs and just BB as a personā¦

This is also a very old one I first read on ff.net but in my opinion one of the closest depictions of canon L and Light.
Exploration of what could have been if the deathnote never fell/Light never had the deathnote. Heavy on depression and it just has this air of hopelessness at times that really gets to you. Technically its also not really a Lawlight fic but I felt the need to put it up here.

This author has a lot of good works (mostly pornā¦). I like especially this and High Risk as they explore one of the funniest but also interesting thingsā¦What would happen if Light could get pregnant. Would he baby trap L, would L baby trap him, would he get an witchcraft abortion? So many possibilitiesā¦
