The idea of Fuegoleon sicking Mereoleona on someone amuses me greatly.
BTW i see these posts all the time like "ohhh i dont know what to comment on fics.." and every response is "keysmashes! or hearts!! anything works :3" and thats GREAT!! thats helpful!!
but: consider. if u genuinely like analyzing writing.. do u know ur just allowed to go through and quote your favorite parts and ramble abt what they mean to u and the author will LOSE IT WITH HYPE?
genuinely. i felt SO WEIRD the first time i did it.. but like. holy shit authors love it. its crack for authors. the first time i did it, it was on a fic that hadnt updated in half a year, give or take, and the author made 3 updates that month BECAUSE OF MY COMMENT.
LIKE. as an author every comment is INCREDIBLE!!! but also, dont feel like your comment has to be short or otherwise ur invasive or smth!! authors ADORE long comments more than ANYTHING.
So very true! I love it when anyone comments on my stories but I absolutely ADORE it when the comment is so detailed, telling me how they really enjoyed the fic or even what their favorite part was.
That connects to me on another level. It can truly make my day brighter when I'm dealing with the problems of everyday life.
If you seriously love someone's writing and want to see more from them, then tell them! Make it worth their time. Make them feel like all the hours and brain power they put into sharing it with you will eventually feel worth it.
Yeah, they may be writing for themselves first but they can do that without posting and sharing with everyone. Don't expect that they'll always keep uploading regardless if they have zero comments, because I promise you they won't. Be the person, or those people who give some encouragement.
It's truly the least we can do any doesn't take more than a minute.
