Rules!!

If your work does not follow the rules then it will not be shared on the page.   1.  Let’s start with the Basic of Basic have fun and make friends chatting about HTTYD.

2. Please tag appropriately (nsfw, any tw or cw, etc.) We are currently not planning on doing a separate nsfw week, so any nsfw content is accepted during this week just please tag it! Also like in Rule 3, we’re not strict on any category so this can be platonic, romantic, nsfw, etc as long as it’s tagged appropriately!

3. The prompts are not super strict! This is for Any pairing in HTTYD, from any part of the franchise including Riders & Defenders of Berk, Race to the Edge, the books, Homecoming, the movies, etc. Please feel free to take creative liberty with the categories and let them take you wherever they want to go be it through fanfiction, any medium of art, cosplay, etc and more!  Also if you don’t get to all days then that’s okay too! Please feel free to do as many or as little of the days as you wish!  We will not reject your work if you are late either! You can post after the week or even before the week if you get its complete.

4. If you have any questions at any point, feel free to DM myself at Ldrmas  Whether it’s about the prompts, your submissions, etc! 5. And of course I’ll repeat Have fun!

6. This is how I will find your work! Make sure to Tag your work as  “ HtTYDCWK2021 “ . If you want to tag it other wise that’s fine but that is the tag I will be searching for! So this is the Tag you should tag your work with first if anything. I will be looking for that as well on A03 which I will add the link to at the bottom of this rule! Our AO3 Link  If you make an AO3 story you can send me a link to my Message Box! U can also send it to @ldrmas​ if it doesn’t get through to me!

If you feel your work has gotten through to me in the previous mentioned ways please send me an email to [email protected] titled “how to train your dragon work “

New thing! If any Day Category doesn’t make you feel comfortable everyone who is participating gets a

“ One Change Day Ticket. “

Meaning if you don’t like that day category then you can exchange this ticket and write &/or create about whatever what you want for that day instead. It will be like an extra free day.

Just make sure you mention the Ticket somewhere on the work. Like “ I’m switching this day up by turning in my Change Day Ticket! “

Tag it with # changedayticket  , # changeday  , # change day ticket then also make sure to tag the day # day5 or #day7 or whichever!

calling all stricklake fans…! ヾ(*´∀｀*)ﾉ in celebration of this summer’s release of rise of the titans, as well as the return of our favorite doctor/changeling duo, you are cordially invited to stricklake month 2021!

what is stricklake month?

just like last year, stricklake month 2021 is a month-long, unmoderated appreciation event for fans, new and old, of barbara lake and walter strickler. now that the movie is here, fans of the ship have brought back this event for a second year as a fun, laid-back way to look back on and show our appreciation for the tales of arcadia series!

what’s allowed?

the event is open to any stricklake-focused fanworks centered around the following prompts:​

week 1 (august 1-7): the past / the future

week 2 (august 8-14): magic / mortal

week 3 (august 15-21): enemies / family

week 4 (august 22-28): roleswap / ruined plans

fills can be for as few or many of the prompts as you like, following as broad or narrow a reading of the prompt as you wish. we are also open to fanworks of any kind (fic, art, photo edits/manips, amvs…) and there are no “minimum standards” or hard deadlines. our only request is that you follow common tagging and warning courtesy, especially for suggestive content—even if it’s hosted off tumblr (on ao3, ff.net, youtube, etc.).

reblog this post and spread the word! and we’ll have weekly reminder (and roundup) posts once the month begins, but those who’d like to get a head start are welcome to do so in advance of august 1. ;)
