Pain is so often the reason that your eyes can’t seem to get a break between the sun setting and rising.

Pain is the reason you flinch everytime you hear the word family used in a way that coincides with safe.

Pain is the reason no one can get close enough to even hear your thoughts, or insecurities.

We do not just “get over” pain, and to hell with all this talk about being “strong” as if emotions make us weak.

We sit with pain, we greive, we mourn, we cry, we scream, we break things, we say things we don’t mean, we ask for forgiveness, we isolate, we eat and drink and pretend to be ok...

I don’t know who this is for, but understand me well as I type these words.

It is better to go through a season of grief, than to ignore all the damage that has been done to you.

It is better to mourn those who have harmed you now, than to be bitter at people who didn’t even hurt you later.

I have a big forehead and I feel like it is a sin to expose it to the world XD
