YELLS
So I discovered someone back in the day made a Blender import script for custom ME2 headmorphs. Here it is. Thank you, Gabrielle, whoever and wherever you are now, I’d like to send you a million cakes.
Managed to get my exact ME1-ME2 Shepard modded into ME3 as a default Jane replacer. It was a giant pain in the ass and I had to use two different versions of Blender, but I got it to work yaaaay.
Not sure how many people would even find this useful but I’m still yelling that I got it to work so here’s what I had to do.
There’s a lot of program hopping because most of these old utilities are not compatible with each other.
The morph import script only works for Blender 2.7, and I could only find a psk import for 2.7, so I imported an ME1 custom head psk into 2.7, used the morph script with a head morph exported from the original ME2 gibbed save editor (export a .ron headmorph from LE and import it into an original ME2 save file. Open that save with the old gibbed and export an .ME2headmorph) Save Blender file.
Open Blender file in 2.8. Fix the weight paints for HEAD and SNEER (mainly sneer because it is not used really in ME1-2 and will deform animations in 3.) Basically make them match the weights from an ME3 head. Export psk. Convert to upk with unreal editor. Import mesh to replace default Shepard. Also replace her hair.
Shepard’s textures will need to be replaced with custom Shep’s, eyebrows and makeup will need to be added to the diffuse itself.
In meshplorer swap the eye and lash material references because they are switched between the 1-2 head and 3 head.
In package editor change default Shepard’s hair, eye and skin color. Skin color in 3 can only be overridden in the sfxgame file with Default__SFXPlayerCustomization.IconicFemaleOverride0*
