Cozy game where you're a metic potter in classical athens and you can design your own silly pottery drawings by placing posable figures and other decorations on them and you sell them and meet various characters and you can date them and grow your store and level up. Like Stardew valley. But you make pots.
Imagine how fun. You reach like level 20 and now you have unlocked funerary lekythos!!!! Your chances of getting discovered by archaeologists have increased by 34%!!
I'd set in like 430 too so you have the plague to deal with.
quit brainrot. unfollow trolls. read essays. go down rabbit holes. have a calendar. maintain a todo list. read old books. watch old movies. turn on dnd. walk with intent. eat without youtube. chew more. train without music. plan for 15 mins. execute. organise your desk. take something seriously. read ancient scripts. act fast. find bread. eat clean. journal. save a life. learn to code. read poetry. create art. stay composed. refine your speech. optimise for efficiency. act sincere. help people. be kind. stop doing things that waste your time. follow your intuition. craft reputation. learn persuasion. systemise your day (or don't). write. write. write. write more. iterate violently. leave your phone at home. walk to the grocery store. talk to strangers. feed the dogs. visit bookstores. look for 1800s novels. experience art. then love. sit with a monk and offer them lunch. don't talk shit about people. embody virtue. sit alone. do something with your life. what do you want to create? turn off your mind. play. play a sport. combat sports. notice fonts in trees. fall in love. notice patterns on a table. visualise it. talk to people with respect. don't hate. be loving. be real. become yourself. cherrypick your qualities. discard the useless. rejections aren't permanent. invite what aligns. accept what does not. read great people. be different. choose different. do great work. let it consume you. lose your mind. value your time. experience life.
The problem with sewing is that you quickly realise you have dumped lots of skill points into control thread and furthermore, there’s a lot of other hobbies that require control thread so you decide to pick up knitting, or crochet, or weaving, and then spinning happens to you, or rug making, or cord weaving, and then you turn the wrong corner on the internet and find out control thread also specs into basket weaving, and book binding, and then you’re thinking things like “I wonder if this also applies to lead climbing” and now you have A Problem

Monday 28th April
I spent the whole day in libraries reading about Hellenistic ruler portraits, so it was a nice day. And it was so sunny outside. These are some pictures of my favourite library, Duke Humfrey’s. It’s so beautiful!
Saturday 26th April
I visited St Edmunds Hall for the first time as I went to watch some medieval plays. I also got to see the old library and crypt!
Friday 25th April
I returned to Oxford yesterday and had two mock-exams today, one on Thucydides and the other was Ancient Greek. As that was a total of six hours, I did not get anything else done but I think the exams went well. I still have lots of work to do on the Thucydides module as I found it difficult.
Monday 21st April
2 hours ancient democracy revision
1 hour Minoan Crete revision
I didn’t get too much revision done as I needed to pack for uni. At least I got most of that done.
These are some photos of Christ Church cathedral!

Sunday 20th April
2 hours Ancient Greek democracy revision
1.5 hours Ancient Greek revision
1 hour Minoan Crete revision
Total: 4.5 hours
I didn’t get as much done as I wanted to as I ended up going on a long walk with my family. I go back to uni in a couple of days, but until then, here as some old pictures. I still have so much to do to prepare to go back!
Hiii!
I'm Emilia. I'm planning to start posting about my study journey in order to keep up motivation for my degree.
I study ancient history and archaeology. I do love the degree but I'm hoping this blog will help my motivation even further. Also, I wish to add a little fun fact for each post (hopefully) of something that I have learnt that day that interested me.
All photos I use are my own. These two photos are from my recent trip to Kensington Palace!
ok well im going to build a good future for myself whether i like it or not
Spending a week studying classics at Durham was amazing! Very much Secret History vibes
