Biden plans to expand Disability, increasing the amount you receive as well as granting ACTUAL MARRIAGE EQUALITY FOR DISABLED PEOPLE

I had to call off my engagement so that I can apply for Disability, but if Trump wins it won’t even matter because Disability won’t exist this time next year.

The idea that there is no difference between Trump and Biden is co-morbid with apathy for your disabled comrades. If Trump wins, I will probably lose access to my medications and be forced to work so my family can survive. The problem is that literally any job can and will kill me. I don’t expect to make it halfway through 2023 if Trump wins the election. And that’s just me. How many thousands or tens of thousands or more are in my situation? How many hundreds of thousands are WORSE OFF than I am?

I’ve seen a lot of “well biden is just as sexist/racist as trump so it doesn’t matter” but I’ll tell you right now that every disabled woman and disabled poc who needs disability to survive fucking matters and will be saved with a biden term, and NOT another trump term.

yes hello hi! this is Joe Biden officiating a gay marriage. Joe Mahshie and Brian Mosteller, long time White House Staffers asked the then Vice President (this is 2016) to marry them. It was the first wedding (and only as far as I know) Biden had ever officiated, he had to get a special temporary certification to do it in DC. This picture (and the Wedding) is at the Naval Observatory in DC, the official home of the Vice President, to date there’s not be a gay wedding at the White House.

Jew: I got called a kike as a kid and classmates threw pennies at me. I wish non-Jews would realize that this is an ongoing problem.

Jew: a guy on my street got beat up because he was dressed as an Orthodox Jew. I wish news of this ever spread beyond Jewish communities.

Jew: someone on my college campus is handing out recruitment flyers for the American Nazi Party, and I got messages in my inbox of graphic Holocaust imagery. I wish people listened when we told them this was happening.

Jew: my synagogue hired an armed guard for my children’s Hebrew school after a terrorist murdered a bunch of Jews at a baby-naming. I wish people treated this as more than just a one-time occurrence, because it’s not an outlier.

Jew: my Polish grandfather’s grave was smashed and graffitied with political slogans that have nothing to do with him. I was kicked out of an LGBT space for displaying a symbol of my religion and culture because projecting a straw-man political identity onto me is an effective way of ridding yourself of Jews while pretending you aren’t racist. This goes on constantly and I never feel safe in any non-Jewish space.

Most Jews and non-Jews expect antisemitism from the right because when we think of antisemitism we think of the Holocaust and fascism. The left’s idea of itself is based on being against bigotry and they are unwilling to face the fact that they may be guilty of racism as well. Jews are not just forgotten by self-described anti-racist movements, they are frequently actively excluded. Jews cannot talk about antisemitism without someone jumping in to bring up outside issues as an excuse to ignore them and carry on with their hatred. Antisemitism is not seen as “real” racism or as important as other causes because many non-Jews believe that Jews are white and therefore can’t be victims of systemic oppression, marginalisation, and violence. This is incorrect; Judaism is not a religion, it is an ethnoreligion, and its members form a cultural group regardless of individual style or degree of observance of religious ritual. Ethnic Jews are indigenous to the Levant and come in all shades, and even the white-passing ones are targets of antisemitism. It is not an extreme position to hear on the left that “we only learn about the Holocaust because it was against white people,” which is astoundingly ignorant of literally everything about the Holocaust and also reveals the degree to which people will do anything to downplay antisemitism.

If there was a sci-fi novel with a megalomaniac billionaire who was the son of an Apartheid emerald mine owner, and he was privatizing space exploration so the public no longer has a say in it...you know that would be considered bad, right? The heroes would fight to stop SpaceX.

The fact that anyone considers SpaceX as anything other than a continuation of the transfer of public sector science, that was run for the public good, into the hands of billionaires is a testament to our propaganda. Having space exploration controlled by one billionaire is bad.

Remember in the 60s when rockets launched and the credit was given to the scientists and astronauts that actually made it happen?
