cute shiara for @pathcrier!
Just watched Adam Conover (of Adam Ruins Everything) make such a solid point that I think we should spread far and wide. Yes, having AI write your emails is lazy, sure, but people love being lazy. We need to really emphasize that sending AI emails (or using AI responses on social media, or publishing AI flyers, or or or) is rude.
It's rude. You're making someone take their time to read something you couldn't bother to write. You're telling them they were so unimportant you couldn't be bothered to actually take the time to say something yourself. And frankly, you're lying about it while you're at it.
It's rude.

When the story has a sequence where the characters each get personally tortured with their exact personalized greatest fears and traumas
Not to sound like a broken record but does it make anyone else viscerally angry how we realized in the very recent past that we can successfully eradicate devastating human-specific diseases (smallpox) yet now there's a million people telling you not to vaccinate your kids against measles. I know I know "everyone will not just" but also for real we could never have measles again if everyone would just be cool
studying history is like. here's to another beautiful day of not being pregnant and of having no obligation to ever be. thank you women who fight for abortion and contraception and independance from men for another beautiful day of not being pregnant and of having no obligation to ever be
Mohammed Abu Alwan is raising three young children alone after the killing of his wife in an IDF strike.
There is a continual need for funds to buy food, water, and medicine, but Israel's destruction of infrastructure in Gaza means that jobs are nearly nonexistence.

Every morning, the queen asked her magic mirror to show her the most beautiful person in the world.
The mirror replied "To whom?"
"The miller who made the flour for my bread," the queen would say, or "Whoever spun the thread my shawl was made of".
The mirror would show her, and she'd be amazed.
The first time, she says "To me," and the mirror dutifully shows her her reflection. And she is pleased.
The second time, she says "To the King," and she is pleased to see herself once more.
The third time, she says "To the Royal Advisor," and is once more satisfied to see herself.
The fourth time, she says "To the scribe who takes the King's letters." She is shown the man's wife. And she seethes, but quiets herself, for it is only right that a man loves his wife.
The fifth time, she says "To the Court Wizard," and is shown the man's departed mother as he remembers her from his youth, radiant and smiling and warm and larger than life.
The tenth time, she says "To the Stable Master," and is shown the fastest horse in the stable, majestic and free as the wind even in captivity
"To the baker," she is shown the man's daughter, young and adorable and full of joy and laughter.
"To the artist who did my portrait," she is shown a painting of a woman done by the man's teacher, who he still looks up to now that he is well established himself.
"To the Royal Knight," she is surprised but not displeased to see the castle's entire guard force in the middle of doing drills.
The one hundredth time she asks the mirror, and it asks her "to whom?" she once again says, "To me." And she does the same the one hundred and second, and again and again and again.
It is a different person each time, and they are all beautiful.
I've gotta be honest, but I despise how terribly Kagha gets treated by the narrative and by Halsin fans, when she only aligned with the Shadow Druids out of desperation and to protect the Grove from the Goblins, since their Archdruid had basically just fucked of without much warning. Sure it wasn't a great idea, but its understandable why she did what she did and yet Halsin is framed as in the right, even though he was being reckless and makes for a crappy leader tbh.π
Actually I'm more interested in talking about how the Shadow Druids are all dirty crusty halflings whom you can kill in order to redeem a woman who was going to kill a child after calling her slurs and was going to kill a bunch of tiefling refugees just for existing in her vicinity. Like she referred to them as a rot to be cleansed. You'd think if she truly only had her people's safety at heart she'd be more apologetic and sympathetic about the idea of essentially using the tieflings as a blood sacrifice to keep the Grove safe (and it would honestly be way more interesting of a conflict), but she seems to revel in it. It's like half the motivation for her almost. And if it isn't then it's pretty poorly communicated.
I'm willing to defend Kagha only so far as to say she's very blatantly a cruel and stupid person and a bad leader and the fact that Halsin thought she'd be a good replacement for him reflects very poorly on him lol.
If it helps, Halsin admits that his faith in Kagha was really a mistake- he gives approval (though only "this is a good answer" not "this is the most true answer") if you answer that was his biggest mistake in the Zethino love test. He also readily says he was a bad leader. And that's why he wants to leave so badly. Like people (not you, OP, just in general) seem to miss that Halsin being a bad leader is the entire POINT of his character. He was forced to take the role because everyone else who could have literally died. He wasn't exactly set up for success with leadership. He is very clear that he hated being a leader, and in fact doesn't trust people who actually WANT leadership positions because he feels they either have good intentions but a poor understanding of what a burden it is, or they have outright bad intentions. (He probably thought Kagha was the former and was blind to her being the latter). Halsin did the best he could, then brought in someone who could actually lead properly when he was finally able to justify it to the Emerald Enclave.
PS the ask you got perfectly highlights while I am annoyed at Kagha defenders so much. "My little blorbo did a racism out of desperation you guys π₯Ί She was so scared π She had no choice but to attempt a childmurder π₯" Fuck all of you
