Wip Wednesday Sunday cont. Star wars edition. Cody's pronouns are ei/em/eir
Ei wakes up to a person kneeling next to em.
Cody tries to stand, but everything hurts, and in the end all ei can do is grunt and drop back down onto the dirt.
"Hello there," says the being by eir side. "Who are you?"
"Why do you want to know?"
The being smiles. It's somewhat blinding. Incongruous, as well. For a person dressed in what appears to be leaves and vines, they have perfect teeth.
"It's not every day that one wakes up to a shuttle crash disturbing their morning. It's been an age since I've seen another soul and I'm afraid my curiosity got the best of me. Good thing, too, without me you'd have drowned,"
"I am a simple disciple of the force," the man says and Cody twitches. The being's face is half in shadow, but in the cold light coming through the entrance of wherever they are, ei can see the misty grey of their eyes.
"To a soul, they are consumed with rage and sorrow," ei remembers eir general saying. "it eats them as they eat it, and through their eyes you see: that burning, hollow gold."
Cody, who had never considered 'eating' an emotion and who had found eirself unsettled at the idea had simply nodded and asked the follow up question: and what were the signs of use of the "dark side" in beings without eyes? For some reason, eir general had laughed at that, and patted Cody on the shoulder.
"A jedi?" ei asked, because guessing was all well and good, but asking was better.
The being smoothed one of the leaves across their muscled thigh.
"My name is Qui-Gon Jinn. You may use masculine terms for me," the man didn't answer em. But no answer was answer enough for Cody.
"CC-2224, 7th sky corps, Commanding the 212th Attack batallion," Cody rattled off in response. "Formally requesting a sitrep. Where am I?"
