Here I'll start:

Eva + Steve = bonding over faith/comforting each other through their shared faith over what must be done

Eva + Lokken = hatred evolving into deep trust and genuine friendship/two ragebaiters that team uo against Ryland (female friendship part 1!!)

Eva + Lamai = shy woman breaking out of her shell becoming her most trusted doctor when things go wrong (female friendship part 2!!!)

Eva + Bob = shared guilt over the loss of life that was under their command, at first she hated his neglect of his position, but post-explosion quickly learned to understand him

Eva + Dimitri = loyal henchman and boss dynamic, I've only read the earth scenes in the book but it looks like she met and brought Dimitri onto the project before she met Ryland, I'd like to believe he becomes one of her first real friends

Thimble is taller: strong martial fighter and sopping wet gangly wizard. she gets to tease him about being shorter than her.

Occtis is taller: it would be very sweet for him to be taller than someone he's protective over. she gets to keep some Tiny Pixie energy.

they are both 5'11: comedy gold. the joke never dies. equal playing field. good height for kisses

They told Lacrecia they were probably going to switch fields again in Oklahoma, but I think they should stay on OSU's line all the way to the field that comes closest to theirs, make it harder for other teams to pinpoint them, plus they know the bulk of the players are behind them. They can stay ahead of all of them if they keep going straight.

Imagine Manny gets those footballs home. Nobody's gonna want to spend the OBT to go after him until they absolutely have to. The other teams will probably figure: they know where those balls are, it's a tiny field, they might as well leave 'em for last. Meanwhile the new placement will bring in recruits he can train up into a proper team, so anybody who does make the run will have a hell of a time trying to get any of their 10 balls away from them and back over the five-mile gap.

Manny will probably be the one to run back across and rejoin Nick on the larger field, because by the time he's got enough OBT saved up to do it again, so will the new team. He can bring the fastest over and it won't just be the two of them against everyone anymore.
