Would you hate me if I said I love them together sm? Idk how to explain it. But the idea of Simon being able to, for once, just be non-serious and have fun with someone. Freely be a dork without feeling judged. Ugh it warms my heart. It also helps him build the courage to properly meet Grace. (Since this is technically related to my last post) Also if you’re wondering how he’s able to hold Rocky, not only do I imagine he has a strength buff because of his mutations, but his xenonite arm does a lot of the heavy lifting. And as you could tell, once he’s on Erid he gets surgery to remove his teeth ingrowns.

My favorite idea for them is that they love to watch a bunch of movies together, which results in them randomly singing/dancing. Simon also gets a kick out of yapping abt anything he’s watched alone. I’m lowkey torn between if he would be okay with irl acted films or would still need a lot of time. He definitely couldn’t watch them immediately, but I love to picture he starts becoming one of those “he just like me” people after every film. (Aka all of us -yes- US) I think them being on a screen and being actors makes it easy for him to disconnect from his fear. And if he gets too stressed out he can just turn it off. If you were wondering, he definitely has a preference for feel-good movies. He absolutely despises horror films and needs like a full week recovery if he watches something sad.

I’ve seen different interpretations on how these two would first interact whenever Simon wakes up, so I’m tossing up my own finalized idea. Simon is just immediately scared and pleads for his life. After everything he’s physically been through and with how drugged up he was, he can hardly move. He’s stuck on the bed and only able to speak and cry. Which inevitably causes Ryland to breakdown himself as his last moments of earth replay in his mind. He understands exactly how Simon feels but can’t do anything to help. He just has to standby to be sure Simon doesn’t hurt himself. The chaos only ending whenever Simon runs out of energy and falls asleep. He virtually doesn’t speak to Ryland again for days. As well as avoids making any eye contact as much as possible. Going as far to even refuse to look at his face. He’s simply too afraid. If he can’t see his face, he can momentarily pretend he isn’t there.

So naturally their relationship isn’t good. But what about Rocky and Simon? Wellll

I do plan on eventually doing stuntstar since it is one of the more popular ships, BUT, the concept of La-La-By was so fascinating to me I had to ponder it first. Like first off, one of the smartest ship name I’ve ever seen, second off, I weirdly see it. I feel like their personalities would work really well together. I personally ended up landing on them lowkey being in a qpr (or at least they never label themselves and just exist together) The true definition of “and they were roommates”.

I am upset you sent this as an anon ask because you deserve credit for this absolute banger duo. I, for some reason, used to be so attached to Googleplier so maybe I’m biased, but I love this sm. It just objectively makes sense. Like they could easily exist in the same world.

Okay you got me, I caved in and drew some of the other gosliplier pairings. And yes I plan on drawing them again. I’m so easy to convince into shipping the most random of things.
