i was on the phone with someone earlier at work and they were completely not listening to what i was saying at all and then getting mad at me for not helping them. like. maybe if you gave me more than half a second to explain and maybe if you LISTENED you would be able to get this issue sorted out

he just kept yelling and not letting me get a word in edgewise. no matter what i did he just kept going lmao. i ended up getting so overwhelmed and mentally exhausted (i was already on the brink of having a toddler tantrum LOL) that i had to fight myself from going non-verbal until i could at LEAST hang up the phone.

he kept getting pissed that the information i gave him made no sense but it was taking so much mental effort for me to try to communicate with this guy and he either didn't understand or didn't bother trying to listen. it's hard to sound smart and put together when you're on the verge of completely shutting down

i have an hour to catch up on all my other stuff so i won't be taking any phone calls for now thank GOD but i'm still reeling from that. nobody at my job knows i'm autistic either so i can't really talk about it. it certainly doesn't help that the field i work in/company i work for is something i honestly couldn't be paid enough to give two shits about.

i have monday off bc im getting a medical procedure (it's routine and i got one 3 months ago so it's nothing major) and will be heavily sedated so. at least i get a 3 day weekend.

Watching Robby decide to try and live because he saw that newborn take her first breath. Robby making his own choice, without any big intervention, without anyone mentioning a psych hold or "consequences" or ultimatums. Having people reach out to him in truthful, honest ways.

The flat out courage to be honest to a dying man and say "yes, you are fucked up" and the tone of that being "but I love you I love you I love you". I can't stop thinking about the time I called my mum and said "I don't think I'm very well", and she said "I know. But it's okay". That fear of hearing the confirmation that you're broken and the relief when you get it. Surrendering to live because someone still loves you with honesty, without condition, even like this.

Robby seeing that life - even for a baby born blue or a child abandoned and alone - is a thing worth clinging to.

This season has been by far the most moving, exhausting, triggering and healing representation of suicidality I've ever seen and I will love The Pitt forever.
