doodling a bunny vs doodling a hare
I fell in love with this hare and made one out of clay
hare painted ✅
hare finished! the ear broke off, but I glazed them separately and used kintsugi to rejoin them
they've got a cool kintsugi earring!
something about loss, growing up and the lies you're told for a sketchbook exchange I'm part of

Reading...
"Mind the brown hen. There's a demon in her."
The brown hen rode on top of the dust-wife's staff
Oh okay, the chicken literally has a demon in her, that's cool.
I've been reading both Nettle & Bone and A Player of Games. I appreciate the wider ways science fiction can talk about different societies and how they might differ based on their ideas of what good behavior is and how to evaluate such. But the characters in Nettle & Bone feel more human. Of course the powerful witch keeps chickens, she needs to eat like everyone else.
(Perhaps the way A Player of Games wanted to zoom out to talk about societies as a whole meant less time on individual people as people. But of course the only way a government can adequately administer anything larger than a very small town is through abstracting through numbers...Or we can talk about the stereotype of science fiction being written by awkward nerds. Or the limitations of both page count and reader attention. Or perhaps some fourth idea that hasn't occurred to me yet.)

hey boss i can't come in today it's a sunny day and there's a lovely breeze coming in through my window, yeah it's rustling the branches of the tree outside that's finally bloomed so it's pretty serious
you have this superpower! BUT you have this side-effect
is it worth it?
yes!!
the side effect is bad but ITS WORTH IT
meh it's okay
the side effect makes it unusable/not worth it
Results/option I didn't think of
It's absolutely crazy that intellectual labor can wipe you out. It seems like it shouldn't be a thing, like your stores of brain juice shouldn't be able to be depleted in that way.
I feel like a wizard that's out of spell slots, and to me that's a hackish mechanical limitation put in place to try to balance the classes.

Kelp Forest by divindk
I really fuck with these arabic logos of ikea stylised to look like little house interiors
I've been playing too much Marathon, because my first thought was to compare this to the faction intro cutscenes. My verdict is that this doesn't fit in with the cutscenes because it's too relatable. The factions made their intros that way because they wanted to inspire awe, not humanity.
I'm just saying, we could settle this with swords, instead of 30+ emails. 🤺

spin the wheel and get assigned a jewish food (if you get something unfamiliar, I encourage you to look it up and discover something new!)
what do you think of this food
I love it
Meh/neutral
I don't like it
I've never had it but I would like it
I've never had it but I would NOT like it
*obligatory notice: don't do any "this thing isn't actually jewish it originates from [insert country] here" bc jewish people are allowed to adapt and enjoy foods from the cultures that surround them, thereby making said food, in fact, a jewish food.
