Imagine how amazing it must be to find a person who has absolutely no preconceived ideas of what a "normal" human should be like! Rocky has never met a human, so everything Grace does is the norm. Or to put it in another way, even if Rocky knew other humans, Grace isn't any more a weirdo than the rest of them. Humans are aliens, they're all weird! For the first time ever, Grace is just as normal or abnormal as every other human.

Grace doesn't need to mask or try to act "normal" around Rocky. He's for the first time in his life able to forget he's different and doesn't meet the expectations of how a man his age is supposed to act. He can just be himself. You can see how happy and relaxed he is around Rocky (especially the deleted scenes)! It's a complete contrast to how nervous and awkward Grace is whenever he is interacting with humans.
