“ROOOOAR! After a creation process of four months the wait is over. I can finally reveal the full artwork!I am sooo proud to declare that my new take on “King of Castle Grayskull” is my very first OFFICIALLY LICENSED MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE artwork, approved by Mattel and distributed by Mad Duck Posters in July!This is a new recreation of the famous minicomic cover by Alfredo Alcala (follow http://www.he-man.org/…/col…/mastersuniversecomic00_full.jpg) , IMO one of the best MOTU setups ever. As always painted with oils on canvas. It has a size of impressive 1 m x 1.3 m (over 39 / 51 inches).Eight years ago I already painted a take on that classic motif - it was even my first MOTU artwork ever -, but last year I decided to make a new version of it, because I knew that I’d make a completely different artwork of it now, much closer to the original cover and more realistic.As always I included some eastereggs taken from Rudy Obrero’s and William George’s unforgettable classic boxarts.Special thanks for their great special support go to my friends of the German MOTU Community and especially Brad for his trust in my work, Marcel for his merciless criticism, Björn for his suppurt with important decisions and of course my wonderul Sonja for… everything.Enjoy!“
