So they sent you on an impossible mission, deep undercover as a “new recruit” for the team.

What your superiors didn’t account for was you learning to love the task force…and them loving you back.

Yeah, you’re a little clueless sometimes, but they couldn’t help taking a liking to you. It didn’t take long for them to realize the kind of mission you’d been sent on.

Without you ever knowing, they cut off every way your old handlers could contact you.

They may have even staged something that could be mistaken for your death.

They could’ve tortured you. Killed you. Used you as an example for every other task force.

But they didn’t.

They liked having you around…for whatever reason.

Maybe it was because you made coffee for everyone every morning.

Maybe it was because, no matter how bad the day had been, you always made sure to tell everyone goodnight, even if no one was awake to say it back.

Spy probably still hasn't told Scout that he's his father. He probably never will. But Scout wants him in his life. They're finally a family.
