I'm visiting my parents and I was promised strawberry rhubarb pie but it's 9:00 and still no pie. I want to go to bed but I just know that pie will appear as soon as I leave. this is a hostage situation

we had a cat that was surrendered to the clinic a few months back and I fostered her hoping to keep her but she's been living in the same house as my cats for almost a month now and is still trying to murder them every time she so much as gets a sniff of them. clearly she needs a new home where she's the only animal but I can't find anyone to take her and I don't want to just take her to a shelter because the previous owner was adamant that she would do horribly there. I'm so lost on what to do here

this may be a really stupid question but as someone who's new to the dog world - if I want a specific kind of dog, and there's a rescue near me that transports dogs in from the south, can I ask them to be on the lookout for me? or is that crazy

the worst thing is when you buy a new snack to try at a discount salvage store and it turns out to be delicious but you know you'll never see them there again
