I’m making this translation for my friends, since I’m good in English and I know Chinese so...

I’ve sacrificed accuracy in my translation and translated this in a way that would sound more natural for English speakers/readers. (and also using the context of the choice of singers and plot here) The aim of this is to get the feeling across, not the details.

I’m sure Chinese readers will find this terribly inaccurate, so just ignore this if you don’t like that! There are other much more detailed, amazing translations that may be more suitable. :)

(my translation is really geared towards feeling and context not accuracy for English speakers, so if you know Chinese, you’ll know this is not accurate. Here, I’ll show you my process - i spent a few hours writing this out by making 3 drafts: 1) “a thousand sails passed and still innocent/naive” -->  2) “i’ve/we’ve been through so much and i/we still naively believe” -->  3) “After all this time, I still believe”

I did a Blade of Marmora!Keith cosplay last week at Comics Fiesta 2018~~ I did this costume last year too, but the costume was pretty crappy so I redid pretty much everything this time round. It’s not the best still, but it holds up a little better ^^; I made a mask too, but I didn’t get photos of it because I couldn’t take photos of myself during the con. (gloves and obscured vision = no photos and also because i have no friends lolol) So here are some photos I took in the hotel room after!

Season 7 was mind-blowing in many ways, but the biggest thing that shook me up was when Sam mentioning World War 3, putting the setting of this world in the near/far future after a world war. Because of the light-hearted tone of the series in the beginning, the stark reality of the recent history of their Earth stands out more here. The first thing that came to mind was how their current weapons and vehicles, the establishment of the Garrison, all the technological advancement Earth had in this story’s universe was due to or was accelerated greatly due to war. In ep 7, Sam said: “The world needs to come together so we can take the fight to the Galra.” Compare this with Admiral Sanda’s “...we’re not going to be responsible for sending the world into disarray.” IMHO, both of them, being some of the most senior staff in the Garrison age-wise, may have lived through the war themselves. Sanda turned out to be rigid and controlling and has little trust in the world and even her own subordinates, maybe due to her life experiences, while Sam actively sought the possibilities of the future—he even got directly involved with the Kerberos space mission and showed much faith in the young cadets. Anyway, it’s a sort of sobering thought that there’s a whole giant war on Earth before the events of Voltron began, not recent enough to personally affect the paladins, but not that long ago for the older generation to dismiss it. (WW3 happened in the 1984 GoLion series too, but it’s a completely different setting over there so I’m not gonna talk about it here)  Historically, massive leaps in technology have always come during (or right after) a war. Look at computers. Look at rocket science. Space travel tech is all because of war.

And I’m like, ‘What kind of devastating war led to such advancement in technology in the future?’

There’s something else I noticed that made me feel that the writers probably meant for Sam and the Garrison to never get the major offensive weapon they were developing to work (mainly the Atlas) until they had help from the Alteans (in particular, Coran).

Summary: Hunk’s plan of opening his bakery is pushed back when he and his friends manage to come across and rescue Shiro, who escaped from the Galra. He leads them to an abandoned house where another survivor he escaped with is trapped in.

After messing around with the magic surrounding the house, Hunk finds himself stuck with Shiro’s reclusive friend and finds his plans to open his bakery further delayed, no thanks to Lance and Pidge.

Hunk’s not going to let something minor like being trapped in a house with a Galra in the middle of nowhere stop him from baking. He can, and he will stress-bake if he wants to. *
