Are premium endings always better written than sweet endings in these event stories?

While I don't know what fandom this is for originally, as an Ikemen Series Simp that has been reading for five years, the answer is NO.

Premium offers certain benefits based off the event. Sometimes it's from his POV. Sometimes it's a happy ending instead of a questionably good one. And sometimes it's just a bonus award like currency or an avatar item. They are rarely better written.

I personally go for the premium for the reward for any guy I like, but do the sweet for anyone I'm just looking for completion for because the sweet takes less event points and still opens the epilogue (if you buy those).

There are many times I prefer the sweet ending over the premium.

In my experience (and this is only limited to ikesen) , sweet endings are usually better written most of the time. Premium ends offer a spicier ending to the story but if you're looking for narrative closure then sweet endings usually do a better job at that.

This is not to say that premium endings are bad and it definitely does not apply to every single event but the general focus is different in them. You can choose one based on what you prefer or as mentioned above, based on the rewards they provide

In my limited ikesen experience, I have liked the sweet endings more than the premium ones. I have not played too many events to say this with absolute confidence, but in the ones I did recently I liked the overall story for the sweet endings better.

Unpopular opinion:

For an ending that results in a terminal condition eg permanent coma (like nobunaga’s tragic route in the sequel, so I’ve heard) or death, I’d rather it happen to the warlord/LI than to the MC.

The loss of a loved one and the pain it comes with can unimaginable, and I think I prefer that I go through that pain in place of my loved ones. And given how fiercely they love the mc, I cannot even consider subjecting them to that and see them break down and wither away.

This may or may not have something to do with the summary of Mitsuhide’s tragic route which absolutely does not exist

#I saw a scene from a movie when I was about 15 #the girl asks the guy if one of them had to who would he pick #he picks her and she gets upset #in the end he tells her he would pick himself #and I though - if you love her and she loves you #why would you put her through all that grief?#I wouldn’t wish that grief on anyone least of all the love of my life #anyway that’s too much nonsense in the tags #ikemen sengoku #Sravs rambles
