Akasha's stream of consciousness, intertwined with Amel's confused mind waking up trying to understand existence, intertwined with million other minds mortal and immortal, and world rushing in, would actually be interesting and realistic take, if it had any substance and foundation behind it. Their problem is they think they can just show snippets and throw bunch of out of place obscure book references at the wall like scrambled eggs and hope they will make a good omelet without any intelligent writing behind it. It doesn't work like that.

But making Marius.. one of the most composed, intelligent and eloquent characters of TVC sound like a deranged nutcase...

Making Marius call his beloved Amadeo a "rotten boy"...

Making Marius responsible for the Great Burning, when HE was the one who took Akasha to protect them all from ever happening again... (and don't even make me start on how it makes no sense this happened in 19th century when Gabi and Lestat were vampires because they along with all others who are not thousands of years old would be DEAD)---

These are all perhaps the greatest offenses so far. But it's really hard to say in the sea of horrible decisions and bizarre nonsense this show has put on screen really. it's just been one horrible take after another. One twisted narrative perverting the book after another. One failed misunderstanding of characters after another. One ruined OC character after another. I'm not interested in it. don't send me any more asks about it please. It's just pissing me off!

I made it my point not to break down each episode and detail or rant about millions of things wrong with this season (most of it really) because it would be a NOVEL and after what this production has done to the book they don't deserve that effort from me. I'm happy to break down adaptations or even problems if done in good faith with love, like S1 and S2, I will not comment on intentional vicious BUTCHERING! I don't want to waste my time on it and bring negativity into people's tags so please leave me out of it. I'm done. I'm here if you wanna talk about the books any day. This show doesn't exist to me any more. Also you can dm me it doesn't have to be anon. I'm here for the book fans :)
