Undertale thoughts about Toriel
(if you're a big fan of her don't read)
You know, when I was little and played Undertale for the first time I was like "Mama Goat! So kind" ("Hello! W-what, you called me - "mama"? ββ (β ββ Β β ββ β’β ββ -β ββ β’β ββ Β β ββ )β β). But when I grew up and replayed Undertale I was having totally different thoughts about her.
Selfish. So selfish.
She and Asgore went through the trauma of losing their both children together, they were hurt and devastated the same. But it is said that she didn't leave because of that but because Asgore decided to capture all new humans to break the barrier. In hopes, that the tragedy won't happen again. That he could help his own kind no matter where they are. But Toriel, without debating for an alternative or staying to monitor them to maybe keep the humans alive, just... Runs away. When their own people needed solace the most, she - just leave the place, cowardly hiding in their old home. And then comes the humans. She could walk them through all of the monster kingdom safely, no one would say a word, keep them alive, but no, no, she is just crying that they want to leave, so sad( (sarcasm), fully knowing that the monsters won't let them off the hook. "I can't help if you go there!" No, you totally can, you just wouldn't. And the saddest part? No one is saying a bad word about her, maybe because Asgore has remained here, covering for here, taking the blame of being cruel, taking the burden for his own people, hoping that she will come back to them, to him -
But she never did.
She is no queen. Only an egoistic coward.
