Geminitay? Geminislay.
I have finally finished (and photographed) my Hermitcraft Season 9 Geminitay Doll. Coming in at a whopping 18” (46cm) she took over 3 years to make and is (well) over 500,000 single crochet stitches.
The basic doll pattern was by Lúa Martínez from the book “Unicorns, Deagons, and More Fantasy Amigurumi 3” but the skirt, antlers, shoes, socks, shirt, flowers, vines, overall top was all created and designed by me.
I had fun taking creative liberty with the little yellow pixels on Gem’s top on her skin, and turned them into sunflower Buttons which SUCKED to sew onto the top. They were initially fully yellow and I had to hand paint and seal the brown into the centre using eyeshadow because paint was too thick.
She is pretty much a replica of Gem’s skin, down to the pixal placement, excepting a few things.
She’s kinda my pride and joy and I have legitimately been explaining minecraft and youtubers to my VERY elderly grandmother because she wants to understand who I made.
