TW: Intimate whumpers, suggestive content
Whumpee who finds solace and sweet, momentary escape in the books that they've secretly stashed away from Whumper's prying eyes, hiding them beneath the floorboards, or writing out fragments of stories they remember from their childhood on their bandages with shaky, bleeding fingers...
Reading by the dim sliver of light filtering in from the basement window, squinting so hard they get a headache. But they're desperate for mental stimulation, so it's far better than being alone and afraid in the dark, with nothing to distract themselves.
Begging with tears in their eyes for Whumper as they slowly, cruelly rip page after page out of the spine of their favourite book, crumpling the papers in one hand. "No, no, please, Whumper! Hurt me any other way, just don't damage it any more–"
"Awh, you're so protective over your cute stories. Would you rather I rip the skin of your back out of your spine, then?" Whumper's eyes glint mischievously as Whumpee whimpers and retracts their shaking hands, no longer trying to grab the book from Whumper. "N–no."
Whumpees who like reading horror or crime thrillers realizing with dread that Whumper is blatantly taking inspiration from the villain of a novel they've read before. It would be almost comical if they didn't know just how badly it ended for the villain's victims...
Whumpees who share the favourite book/author with Whumper, and are forced to reenact specific scenes of Whumper's choosing (especially if they're explicit or unpleasant scenes which Whumper manipulates them into feeling guilty for reading).
Whumpee who used to listen to audiobooks being tied up, blindfolded and strung up lovingly in Whumper's arms as they read a book aloud to them.
Or the other way around: Whumper reclines on a couch, eyes closed and a small, relaxed smile etched on their face as they snuggle on Whumpee's lap, savouring the fear in their voice as they try to read out a book, for hours and hours until their throat is parched and desperately thirsty. Every time they begin to drift off or mess up a line, Whumper digs sharp nails into their thigh, an implicit threat.
Intimate, lovestruck Whumpers who turn Whumpee into their muse, their inspiration for a novel or a collection of poems, which, to Whumpee's horror when they discover their work, are dripping with obscene, dehumanizing declarations of one-sided love.
