Hi, Sanity! I guess that means you don't know the answers to the questions I asked earlier. Ah well. There was one more thing I wanted to ask. Why did Julius do his"French kiss with a secret" if he's so obsessed with cleanliness and is disgusted by anything he considers dirty? I understand that his perception is distorted, but it still feels a bit strange to me.
Oh, I absolutely know the answers to everything in the Hellverse, I literally have the universe worked out down to the quantum level lmfao. Any questions I haven't answered yet is either because 1) I'm busy as fuck and at the end of the day, The Hellcrew Project is a passion project, meaning it gets put on the back burner a whole lot. Sometimes I just don't have time to answer something when I'm asked and then I forget to go through my asks. 2) there's a misconception that I will always immediately answer every single ask I get. If I say I'm going to answer then I eventually will. But unless it's sent during one of the AMA periods, there is no guarantee I will answer or even see it. Unfortunately I do miss a lot of asks these days just due to the sheer amount I get. The ones I answer tend to be the ones I happen to get while I'm actually on Tumblr. 3) some asks do absolutely get ignored on account of spoilers, there are a lot of things I want to keep for the books I'm writing. There's also the factor that many asks may seem like simple questions but the answer is actually quite complex and needs a whole lot of context. All that said, I will look through my asks on my day off tomorrow and at the very least make note of yours, if not answer.
To answer your question here: Julius is not a straight-forward character, he is very contradictory — that's intentional. Julius is a wolf in sheeps clothing. He's all about deception. He is the embodiment of a thin veil of beauty hiding the rot beneath, both metaphorically and literally. Julius finds perfection in disgusting things. I mean, he's a necrophiliac, that's something I've publicly established for 4 years now. He is a sick, sadistic, fucking vile individual who has an incredibly twisted mind. Pain is his bread and butter. Now, all that said, yes, he needs things organized and clean, absolutely. Do you think he doesn't clean up after himself or have someone do it for him? 😭 But the tidy part is it's own, separate thing. What you actually need to consider isn't what you and I consider filthy and disgusting, but what Julius deems filthy and disgusting. (Clearly, corpses and puke aren't things that fall into that category.💀)
So, while this is an interesting question, the answer is relatively straight forward and imho it has always been very clear from countless, various implications. I don't usually give straight answers like this to be honest, because I prefer making my audience use their own brains to connect different aspects in order to get the full picture.
I think The Dressmaker from Hell will answer a lot of questions about Julius that people have, and it really solidify his identity as a horror character.
