It's not just to have a "do over" that doesn't involve the original cast, it's to cut them out of the royalties. Literally the entire point is to make sure all the money made by Harry Potter goes to transphobes or people willing to work with transphobes.
If you watch it, you are supporting bigotry, hate, and oppression. That's just objective reality. All for a story that you probably have already seen in movie and book form.

The heroine is an aroace lesbian elf with frost powers, this in the "boyfriend of the week" in many tv-shows. The story is about her and her twin brother being chosen to save their people from slavery, how much of a burden this is when put onto children, and their growth from 10 to 17. The author has promised to add a non-binary character to book 9 (as of book 8 he's self-publishing. His abusive ex has given him a lot of debt, so please support him! He and the story are amazing!)š

Syftestad is non-binary and the heroines are implied to be crushing on each other, and some of the characters also appear to be poly. As the website isn't translated, the story is about Paprika who finds an alien who crashed onto her planet and brings her home. The alien Kabaiel is there to find the starry gates to find an energy source to save her planet. It's an adorable sci-fi! šØļø
Goshiki no Fune (äŗč²ć®č¹) by Yasumi Tsuhara. Alternative universe set during WW2. About a group of 5 "freaks" who put on freakshows to earn for a living. One of them is a trans woman who had to have both of her legs amputated due to gangrene. Their love for each other and their conflicting pride for the attention yet shame they try hiding even from themselves. š
Saiki Kusuo no Ļ nan (ęęØę„ éć®ĪØé£) by ShÅ«ichi AsÅ. the anime is translated, not the manga. The protagonist claims he was going to be born a girl but that felt wrong and swapped into a boy with his tremendous psychic powers. He's also strongly implied to be aroace, despite what parts of the fandom might tell you. šØļø
Sket Dance by Kenta Shinohara. (for some reason they didn't renew it for the new website. Like with Saiki above, the anime is translated but not the manga and the anime isn't finished) A trans boy appears near the end and they accept him with open arms. If anything is he one of the more "normal" kids overall. šØļø

Let's turn that around and look at Rin merch where she isn't alone:
1 with $ā¬$$, she tries giving him food like in her debut, he doesn't even look at her. It was released in November 2020 to build hype, yet nothing teasing the ship really. And $ā¬$$ doesn't eat the food she gives him, so it's more of having him part of a set that doesn't make much sense for him to be in so his fans will buy from it.
1 also from 2020, the one she admires is... Jaken? As usual, $ā¬$$ is also on his own.
From December 2022, after it flopped. Rin in the closest to a shipping badge in the set along with Kohaku, although Sango and Miroku are a pair telling a story. But compared to her "canon" $ā¬$$ earlier, the two blush slightly and have eye contact.
From the same time, Rin with Jaken again, hiding behind him and while you could put $ā¬$$ in front so he's protecting them, she looks away unless she's protecting jaken pushing him out of the way. But no blush.
But while Ā½ have color scheme based on the manga, and 2 based on the anime (you can see it at first glance with $ā¬$$'s sleeves being purple instead of red, Sango's armour being floral instead of solid coral pink, and Kohaku's armor having a wavy pattern rather than solid amber color. The copyrights are also to Takahashi herself and Shueisha/ShoPro, while anime merch also is copyright to sunrise although it'll probably move over to Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc. So if you want to keep boycotting them, that's how. Yes, these are mostly all based on the manga these days, but not drawn by Takahashi herself. What about merch she has actually drawn the art on herself? Well, recently Meqri started selling Inuyasha merch with panels from the manga itself, and on the long sleeve tees all the main ships are represented. Let's see shall we?

I remember being scared she was going to be forced together with an older guy when she saved him. As when girls interacted with guys other than their family in many stories meant that they most likely got together. But they never do! He ends up with one of her friends and stays an older brother figure to her for the rest of the series! I sent an email to the author asking, and he said that he was surprised that finally someone saw the signs and that, yes she's an aroace lesbian, and falling in love is more her twin brother's thing. (yup Phenomena somehow is also about twins)

I hate intruding this post like this, but I'm afraid to look at the comments and see many attack Japanese civilians about what happened and curse the current population because of it. But to avoid American soldiers doing the same the Japanese government forced teens and the few adults they had left (remember that Japan was known as the land of orphans after the war) to work as so-called pan-pan girls (article about them here) that walked into American camps and groups at night to "willingly" sleep with them in order to keep children and upper-class girls and women safe. Maybe there was a point in all this? Who knows. One thing is certain about that war and one thing only, nothing of this should have happened, but the same could be said for any war really. What the Japanese army did was wrong, shouldn't have happened and that the Japanese government denies it and refuses to educate the population about it is wrong, but hating every single Japanese person over it is not the solution either.

Many like to forget that Marx never worked a day in his life. He lived with a friend he shared his ideals with and they leeched off the friend's father until he worked himself to death, then the friend had to work and Marx continued to leech off him.
Iāve been using these two characters as shorthand for the US and Europe for years and Iāve been wondering if there are any equivalents for other parts of the world? I know about the African Union, ASEAN, Union of South American Nations and the Arab League.
Is there for example some kind of Native American union with their own flag or logo the same way the different Sami people have their own collective flag?
And before you express any worry about that, characters based on unions arenāt meant to dismiss or erase the individual countries or groups. Itās just so I donāt have to draw 10 characters when a collection of countries have an opinion or are affected by something. Thatās why Iāll sometimes use King Europe and sometimes France and Spain for example.
So this is just me asking if there are any unions you feel I should know about.
