My personal headcannon is that he will do ANYTHING not to talk about Exy, especially as a Proffesional Exy player.

And I imagine him going through phases, testing how much he can do, before his PR Agent snaps and tries to kill him.

First time he is chosen to talk to reporters at the end of the game… he just keeps silent. Stare at all people with dead bored eyes, until they give up and ask somebody else.

Yeah, no, that can’t be. His PR Agent immediately tells him you have to, HAVE TO talk to the reporters, Andrew.

Very well, Andrew can talk to them.

Next time he answers all of their questions…. in german.

Ok, I see what you are doing here, I see. But no, stop that. In English Andrew, answer in English.

No problem.  So Andrew of course answers questions in English, by convincing every reporter that he is Aaron (and also implying that they are incompetent by catching the wrong brother.)

Andrew can tell his PR agent is a step away from nervous breakdown when he gets a berating letter from her the next day. (He blocked her everywhere out of spite.) This time he even got a list that said You can’t keep silent with reporters, you can’t answer them in another language and you can’t claim you are Aaron, you have to talk about exy.

And honestly all that can be arranged.

So next time he talk with reporters, even in english! and don’t claim to be Aron single time… instead he tells them he really doesn’t know anything about exy.

You see the thing with Andrew is that he has this energy, this posture, this quiet self confidence that makes it really hard to realize if he  is lying or not.

Just picture room full of sports journalists staring at Andrew unsure, quietly looking at each other trying to judge what is really going on.

“You dont know anything about exy?”

“nope”

“None of the rules?”

“Nothing”

“But…but you play professionally!”

“I was told I have to keep the ball out of the goal, I don’t know anything else.”

“You … you trained with Kevin Day! Son of the exy! How is it possible??”

“Kevin also told me to keep the ball out of the goal.”

Okay but I think people are forgetting that Laurent isn’t a feminine man by any means…he’s actually kind of fuckin manly. He’s built like the statue of David, described to have broad shoulders, a cut body and not to mention the strength to whirl around a 500lb+ horse while cutting down soldiers with one arm.

Damen used to chase after gladiators for crying out loud. You know he’s gotta admire Laurent’s body for how sporty and strong it is. He’s not like this…slight, soft-bellied boy I tend to see around the fandom. The super long hair, the soft body, always making him bottom (did we forget he nearly topped Damen if not for some rude premature climaxing)…

laurent is canonically described as androgynous, and he cultivates this image to make sure people underestimate him physically. your first thought looking at laurent isn’t “holy shit he’s buff.” he canonically can pass as a woman.

then, the hair - depicting laurent with long hair does literally nothing to his masculinity. hairlength does not determine how masculine or how feminine you are. me having longish hair doesn’t make me feminine.

then, the “girl” in the relationship - that’s just the thing. they’re both men. depicting laurent as feminine doesn’t make him a woman. i personally don’t like when people depict laurent as a waifish blond whose only interests are books and being meek because that’s not his character. doing that doesn’t make him more “feminine” or “womanly” but it is out of character. those traits aren’t inheritly feminine, and there can’t be anything heteronormative about damen and laurent’s relationship because they’re both men. they express their masculinity differently, but that doesn’t make either one of them more of a man than the other.

now, removing laurent from his masculinity is an issue because he does hold to it (think of his “manly shrug” back into his jacket after passing as jokaste). but he doesn’t subscribe to the same type of masculinity as damen. that’s not who laurent is, and doesn’t make him less of a man.

Let him be pretty and fit and masculine - in my head he’s built more like a ballet dancer ok have you SEEN male ballet dancers?? Or just male dancers??
