ADA REYNOLDS ( SHE/HER ) is a CISGENDER FEMALE, TWENTY-TWO year old WAITRESS who has been living in Moorbrooke for HER ENTIRE LIFE. They were born on NOVEMBER 19TH and right now, they are currently residing in OAKLEY COURT. It has been said that they look suspiciously like THOMASIN MCKENZIE and if they had to choose a song to describe themselves, they would choose RUNAWAY by AURORA.
background
trigger warnings: family death, night terrors/insomnia
even as a child, ada preferred to spend time alone. she had a small group of friends but never went out of her way to become popular in any way. it just never interested her. the only people she really cared for were her family, especially her brother albert.
she has always loved reading but struggled with school and academia in general, as she does not like being told what to do. she is highly intelligent but not everyone realises this due to her barely graduating from high school.
after her brother passed away in a fire, ada felt very anxious and constricted being so close to her family, and so she moved to live in oakley court alone as soon as she turned 18. she has always been very independent and enjoys being able to take care of herself and having to answer to no one else.
ada is quite emotionally withdrawn - especially since albertâs death. she doesnât really love to think about her own feelings too much and finds it difficult to emphatize with others.
she fears being controlled by others and is terrified of losing control, which is why she prefers to go about things alone. she defends herself by denying her vulnerability and her emotions. it can take a very long time to get her to open up.
ada has not had many romantic or sexual experiences and has never been too interested in relationships. she identifies as bisexual but is still very much exploring herself and trying to find her true identity.
she is fiercely stubborn and loyal, and will not hold back when it comes to defending those she loves. she has gotten in some trouble because of this a few times - mostly in high school - but has withdrawn since her brother passed away.
her biggest regret is not sleeping over at the house during the night of the fire - she had left early to stay with a friend due to a petty argument. ada feels that she could have prevented the accident, and although she loves james, a small part of her blames them for what happened. she would never even dare to say this out loud and has hardly admitted it to herself.
albert was adaâs best friend ( at least thatâs the way she viewed their relationship ) and she has not yet properly started processing the grief of losing him. most of the familyâs attention was focused on james when the accident happened, and so she never really got the chance to mourn. she now suffers from night terrors and insomnia, which she has never discussed with anyone. it is currently one of her biggest secrets and she spends a lot of time trying to ignore that it's even an issue.

â fun â facts about ada
she is a scorpio, and her birthday is on the 19th of november. she doesnât really care about her own birthday, but she will always go out of her way to get something special for those she loves. after which she will, of course, play it cool and pretend like it was not a big deal at all.
ada is athletic but sticks strictly to solo-sports, such as running and swimming, because her temperament and impulsiveness do not go well with team-sports.
she has a tattoo of the letter A on the back of her neck ( which she claims stands for ada but really stands for albert ) and she changes her hairstyle a lot. other than that, she likes to dress quite plainly and wears very minimal jewellery.
ada works at the diner as a waitress and, despite her attitude, earns decent tips because she is familiar with most customers and people seem to find her charming despite her character flaws.
she hates going out and judges people who like to party, as well as very dependent people who donât seem to be able to do anything themselves. this has been a cause of some tension between her and james for a while.
her greatest desire is for someone to see her exactly as she is - flaws and night terrors and temperament and all - and accept and love her not despite it, but for it. however, I do not know how she ever thinks to achieve this since she has literally not opened up to anyone since albert passed.
in the long term, she would like to be able to leave moorbrooke for good, maybe move abroad, but every time she comes close to trying, something pulls her back. ( spoiler alert: itâs the fact that she never processed albertâs death duh ).
