Team Prime: Three guys that believe their life is worthless and probably have considered ending it all at least once (Optimus, Ratchet, Prowl) and two guys who are just chilling (Bulkhead and Bumblebee)
Megatron’s Inner Circle: Three guys that believe their life is worthless and probably have considered ending it all at least once (Blackarachnia, Lugnut, Blitzwing) and two guys who are just chilling (Starscream and Shockwave)
I love cinematic parallels you guys /silly
Heheh, y'know what they say about cinematic parallels (i don't actually know or at least not word for word), you've just gotta pick up on one key difference and everything is laid bare
I don't know if anyone says that-
ANYWAY! The key difference would be the groups' proximity to their faction leaders (and proximity to their enemy faction leader like Shockwave AKA anything Ultra Magnus does only strengthens his belief in Megatron), where Megatron's inner circle are like that BECAUSE of Megatron, Team Prime have the agency to circumvent their issues (or live it up) without the Autobot Commonwealth stifling them yay!
I assume Shockwave would be the easiest to turn against Megatron (“I follow his orders to the letter for eons and THIS is the thanks I get?!?”) but would he also be part of the “I Deserve To Die And I’m Disappointed I Didn’t” club or is he just looking at Lugnut and Blitzwing like “respectfully what the actual fuck is wrong with the two of you”
I would imagine it’s the latter since he’s the only one of the trio I can see acting somewhat normally while imprisoned in the OG Season 4 provided Blackarachnia decides against reconciling with her old friend (Blitzwing has basically fully retreated into his headspace and refuses to interact with the outside world hoping his body will waste away from self-neglect and Lugnut is mindlessly muttering propaganda to himself nonstop out of fear his mind will be “polluted by doubt”) but then again I feel like having no sense of self-worth is something that the Decepticon cause not only expects but outright encourages
Heh, I think the only reason why Blitzwing and Lugnut didn't wait to die would've been because Shockwave actually dragged them out of the ruins of the reactor (since the Starscream clones only concerned themselves with... well each other) in an effort to rile either of them up to help him get back at Megatron for 'wasting what he was worth'. Or well, dragged Blitzwing out, who only really surfaced to watch Shockwave and Lugnut arguing again (this time flavoured with a mutual 'what is wrong with you' brewing between the two of them since Lugnut's fully huffed the Megatron dogma and cannot believe Shockwave 'denied the gift of death' while Shockwave turns his fury into baffled incredulity at the level of stupidity and/or brainwashing in Lugnut's head), and it's unspoken but evident that Blitzwing needs to pick a side, and Random is probably the best advocate for suicide prevention because it really wants to see Shockwave and Lugnut be forced to get along long enough to enact revenge on Megatron. A bonus! When Blitzwing rallies with Shockwave, it means Shockwave in turn agrees with 'that freak' and having been a spy for a long time, it doesn't take Shockwave very long to realise Random is explicitly sticking around to mess with him; the others, notably even Icy and Hothead don't even front as frequently.
Yeah, if Blackarachnia doesn't reconcile (which to do so is admittedly hard on a logistics sense alone, she'd need to secure her own transport from Earth to Cybertron or borrow someone else's, and the only transport that would allow a technorganic like her onto Cybertron may be under Optimus's permission and well- he might have a caveat about arresting her or not being against her being arrested if he himself can look the other direction; yada yada a lot of effort but sometimes it takes a lot to show you care), Shockwave would be the one coping with the arrest the best, even if he is incredibly disappointed by having his identity of Longarm exposed. I mean he'd have to listen to Lugnut's almost prayer like reciting of propaganda every nanosec, but with Blitzwing completely out of it and more silently wanting to die, it's not like he'd be contributing to Shockwave's suffering.
If Blackarachnia does manage to find her way to Cybertron in order to apologise, it might be the very slightest minutest itty bitty miniature challenge for Blizwing's mentality of Autobots that it's even just the smallest start to help deconstruct his bigotry and actually sever his hatred from his trauma- an (ex) Autobot apologising? And travelling out from the middle of nowhere to the central polity of the Autobot Commonwealth Cybertron itself to do so? Well! It's hard to forgive, hasn't needed to forgive in a long while, so no guarantees but! That's more effort than not! If she's allowed to visit more often, you might here Blitzwing talk a little more- if not, Random's here to mess with everyone within earshot and will now serve to torment Shockwave now.
Not a “Decepticons did nothing wrong” believer or a “Decepticons are inherently irredeemable” believer but a secret third thing (“Decepticons could hypothetically be redeemed but it would take a VERY long time and require extensive therapy and unlearning toxic beliefs as well as getting them to actually WANT to change themselves for the better” believer)
Also real talk I can’t be the only one who thinks the amount of people who claim that certain disabled and/or mentally ill characters don’t “deserve” treatment or to get better or that said characters dying is the “best”/“kindest” fate they could have is incredibly concerning right.
Technically, I can see where some people don't want disabled/mental ill characters to be treated since getting them treated might 'ruin their representation' particularly if the writer '''''''''''''''''''''''cures''''''''''''''''''''''' them; the part where it sucks hard and fast is the idea of 'deserving' it like dude, 'deserving' treatment come free with your personhood just because these are fictional characters that by definition are not people doesn't mean they should never be treated, just say the quiet part out loud why don't ya?
It's probably a big example of the binary thought of fandom where 'redeeming every character who don't even ask for it because redemption is always your end goal' is way too optimistic and kinda... uhm stuck on the phrasing- redeeming anything that breathes without challenging the character that is being redeemed is kinda careless and often ends up rewriting a character into a sandblasted version of themself. The other end 'a character dying dies good to reward them their redemption and punish them for the sins of their past' is... very punitive and would be highkey kinda be the Megatron mindset I just posted about 'making yourself useful by dying for OUR side, which is obviously the GOOD side come on, do it' and yada yada. Writing bad people makes you a bad person, liking bad people makes you a bad person, writing about a bad person trying and failing to be good is clearly the author's barely disguised depiction of themselves basically being the worse person to ever exist or whatever-
I have always had more love for Decepticons than I do Autobots, and it's BECAUSE of how messy they are!
Decepticon elite soldier with an incredibly fractured sense of self who doesn’t even know what he is and barely even regards himself as a person anymore who sees no value in his own life and believes he deserves to off himself for failing his only purpose for existing 🤝 Decepticon elite soldier who’s forfeited all of his personal identity and sense of self in favor of mindlessly spouting propaganda and dedicating his entire existence to serving his lord and master who sees no value in his own life and would gladly off himself if he believes that’s what his lord and master wants from him
You heard it here first, folks, Blitznut is real /lhj
(You know what between them and Blackarachnia I’m starting to think maybe Megatron fosters an incredibly toxic environment and most of the Decepticons aren’t doing very okay mentally. Just a hunch.)
Well obviously, you can’t control very powerful people if you can’t use foster their insecurities against them and make them do things you want them to do, come on its basic psychology <- Megatron putting the real definition of trauma bond to good use (yada yada, ‘If you hate yourself you can just die for my end goal, you were going to die anyway why not make yourself useful for once’ type shit)
Heh, I suppose if a Blitzwing & Blackarachnia friendship can be formed despite the fact that they only bond with each other because they’re freak 4 freak, rather than actually having any interest in common (still a valid way to form friendships, it’s just bad when you maybe despise a fundamental part of them), then Blitzwing and Lugnut could still be somewhat loosely defined as a relationship, whatever type it may be (Blitznut real Blitznut real). I think in actuality that Lugnut it so absorbed by everything Megatron that he ends up ignoring most of the freakiness of Blitzwing and probably also Blackarachnia, but she doesn’t like anything about Lugnut at all to pretend to have a relationship. Blitzwing on the other hand - having sipped the soup from Megatron’s palm - only grows exhausted by the volume and constancy of Lugnut’s ravings even when ultimately he believes in the same points, how dying in Megatron’s name would be the most honourable thing a ‘Con could do, how it will be Megatron that saves all of cybertronians, and how it is preordained that Megatron will rule Cybertron and expand its colonies. Everything else? Blitzwing may have many minds to share one body but Lugnut is so one-track-minded it even annoys Random, who retaliates by pranking him more or by poking and prodding until Lugnut gets annoyed with it.
So y’know, Blitznut real- as much as it can be anyway :P
In da Hasbro mandated season 4 while both of them will be in the same ‘failed to die right’ boat, it’ll be MUCH harder to convince Lugnut to turn traitor against Megatron even when it’s suggested to be a suicide mission; it’ll be dying in OPPOSITION to Megatron and insubordination is punishable by desecration or smth <- pulling smth out my ass. If he were managed to be convinced that Megatron himself is acting in opposition with himself and the rhetoric he’d been spewing for millennia… yeah, still not easy but it would be Random again suggesting ‘Well if Megan doesn’t kill me first, you can scrap me into a million pieces!’ and goads him on lmao.
So y’know basically, Blitznut real :P <- typed it so much it autofilled lmao

I feel like since Triple-Changers are artificially made and aren’t capable of being forged naturally, the process ends up putting a lot of strain on their body as well as their mind, basically giving them the Cybertronian equivalent of Ehlers Danlos or osteoarthritis. Blitzwing’s been dealing with it for so long he’s gotten somewhat numb to it and he gets special treatment in terms of healthcare since he’s a member of Megatron’s inner circle and one of his strongest and most valued soldiers, but even someone like him can only take so much and Decepticon healthcare primarily prioritizes “making you functional enough to keep serving Lord Megatron” over “actually helping you cure/manage your issues and not feel completely miserable all the time” because of resource rationing, so most of the time he just takes to dissociating to ignore it, even retreating to his headspace when he doesn’t have orders to fulfill, which everyone else takes as just “Blitzwing being Blitzwing” when he just sits and stares at a wall for hours or needs to have topics repeated to him since he was “checked out” and didn’t register it the first time because he does his job serving his lord and master and does it well and that’s all Decepticon culture needs to consider you a functioning member of a society. (TFA Decepticons being operated and functioning similarly to a cult my beloved)
Because of this, Astrotrain and Octane were pretty much active suicide risks when they were still online (because obviously no one is going to take gradually losing their grip on reality while being stuck in a body that needs constant maintenance just to function very lightly) so the Autobots viewed disposing of them to be the most merciful hand they could be dealt as they considered more effective to just get new test subjects until they get the result they want rather than having to keep working on ones that were getting increasingly difficult to work with and obviously wouldn’t be able to function in proper society.
Blitzwing, while not an active suicide risk like them due to having eons to get used to living his condition for eons, does often wonder what it’d be like to go offline and what would happen to him afterwards (though he’s pretty much accepted that if there really is an afterlife his Spark will forever damned), doesn’t really care much if he comes back from a fight online and doesn’t really see any real future for himself that isn’t being offlined in action, and is secretly deeply resentful that the Autbots chose to imprison him and put him on display rather than have him executed. Post Season 3 he’s probably just sitting quietly in his cell dissociating since the day he got there, fully retreated into his headspace so he doesn’t have to deal with the situation he’s currently in, and in the Hasbro mandated version of Season 4, secretly somewhat ecstatic that Lord Megatron has deemed him of having fulfilled his purposes and allowed him the permission to go offline and finally escape the constant pain he’s in…only to wake up later to find himself still alive much to his disappoint and chagrin.
(Of course this is all assuming he doesn’t get proper treatment and actually gets to live a life where his condition is properly manageable and he can actually enjoy himself…but that topic probably delves into “is Blitzwing redeemable” territory and I greatly fear being involved in Decepticon Woobification Discourse™️ so I’ll just leave it as is.)
Oh THAT'S how you spell subluxation otay! yay <3
I'm just gonna delete everything I typed because it was basically just summarising the bloody wiki on the TFA timeline which- shit actually it's so interesting how many wars the Animated Cybertron goes through it feels kinda more real than just having one lone big long devastating war everyone and their mother continuity plays like before the Great War there were 3 previous wars and 2 of them were civil wars (world war technically, but when you fight against 'the enemy in the stars' for your first war everything else becomes a civil war) aaaand I'm getting off track again-
BLITZWING! The way you typed out how he over Astrotrain and Octane (I learnt just earlier today that Octane in basically all other continuities named Tankor because of copyright stuff, did you know?) had less of a suicide risk, it makes it sound like perhaps Blitzwing pre-TC already dealt with chronic pain or some other disorder that happens to cause pain, that or it's a fucked up version of 'fell first/fell harder' where his mental health snapped first and being able to hide away in his mind while the body that isn't his is piloted by minds built to compensate for the strain ended up saving him (whether or not he actually wanted to be saved) while Astrotrain and Octane snapped harder and broke under the pressure. I was rereading one anon's fic snippet and how Hothead demanded to see [01] and [02], and am now wondering if - even if for the briefest overlapping of time - they were dead when he demanded to see them; I feel like based on what characterisations I made of Astrotrain and Octane I thiiiiiiiink in this post (?), Octane might've tried to break herself out to the point of causing a fatal injury, and Astrotrain maybe was 'the perfect victim' and was mercy killed, because Astrotrain 'was the only real civframe in the experiment' yada yada bullshit frame-based discrimination.
Being a system though, Blitzwing technically wasn't fully in agreement with suicide so was less of a risk because a) Random got a kick out of living, there's no fun to be had if you're too dead to enjoy it, and b) in the absence actually seeing them anymore some shattered fragments attached themselves to the images of Astrotrain and Octane which maybe wanted to kill themselves but didn't want Blitzwing himself to die (if nothing else so that the Triple Changer Trials don't just disappear in his dying spark), so the Autobots delayed a little too long to put him down because he was being so 'niceys' when he broke out and joined the Decepticons aka why I found myself falling down the rabbit hole of TFA's timeline-
So ON that note, it's so niceys that neither TFA faction are the heroes lmao, kinda really screwing over our maintenance bots Team Prime in this continuity by making them the ultimate underdogs- either way, with Megatron being a charming figure with rhetoric to spread and actual goddamn manifestos, turning the Decepticons kinda cult-like is also very nice (particularly since Megatron exiling the previous Decepticon leader Megazarak, and also that specifically being one of the major reasons why the tensions between Decepticons and Autobots worsened), comes across with real big Cult of Personality types, especially since Megatron wants control over Cybertron and the Allspark. And since the current ruling class of Cybertron and the Allspark were the AUTOBOTS well- let's just say Blitzwing can bring along some very compelling reasons why Autobot rule is anti-cybertronian and cruel. Something something, Megatron sees Blitzwing's very understandable vitriol, yada yada, Megatron views him and his status of being the last remaining triple changer (bar maybe some scientists tryna make another for Project Omega) as an incredibly useful tool, etc etc, Megatron is a very charming mech and can turn Blitzwing's trauma into bigotry and basically the Cybertronian equivalent of a fascist* because yay for radicalisation you are not immune to propaganda! *Keyan's Political Ideology video
Basically, Blitzwing went from pre-TC 'tries to become smaller/be one of the good ones [warframes]' non-confrontational quiet mecha, medically abused and viscerally changed into something that hurts so bad he's disappeared across parts that want to die, parts that want him to live, and a part morbidly entertained by the whole thing, then after everything is welcomed into the fold of an ambitious cult on the cusp of war and had his trauma turned into a leash as a tyrant-to-be's attack dog to beget the violence destined by violence. It didn't take too long for Blitzwing to cause more harm than personally had been harmed, million upon millions of years of war builds up more of a body count than scientists actually responsible for the Triple Changer Trials would amount to, especially since Autobot scientists in of themselves are more than just those that operate unethical experiments just because they can let alone the Autobots not even scientists at all- doesn't matter, at this point nothing matters, so long as they die first. So long as Megatron can win, so that nothing like Blitzwing can exist ever again, including himself.
He is DEFINITELY not being treated for his condition, not for his mental health and not for his chronic pain; maybe the altmodes slightly tug against each other, pull at his endoform like it's own version of joint instability if we pull from EDS, potentially something like vertigo where altmode systems clash and suddenly he's feeling like he was always a tank never to be in the air when he was forged as a jet. Not to mention he's not exactly well liked just for the way he has been made to be, has become in the absence any real choice in the matter, a freak in body and mind. While she may not have a mind freaky enough to be disliked, one freak of the body ends up finding solace in the other, Blackarachnia - walking around the 'leopards that will eat your face' party and knowing it (what other choice is there, either she's dissected live on an autopsy table or she can somewhat live in company even if on a timer) - may reek of Autobot scientist but her biology makes her potentially freakier than Blitzwing. Blitzwing is probably still revolted by her just as much as Blackarachnia runs out of patience with his 3 predominantly fronting alts, but still... it's some kind of solace; maybe they can be friends despite it all-
Welp! With Waspinator signifying Blackarachnia's desperation, Blitzwing was RIGHT to detect her Autobot history- she's just like any other scientist he's had to deal with in the past, just one more wound to inflict upon him and he only has himself to blame-
And finally, his time in prison. Technically this used to be the first paragraph in my post but the structure got so confused that I had to delete everything then re-centre, structure everything in order so that I don't mess up my thoughts. I think no one is exempt from redemption, it's just that the character (or person also) needs to want redemption; much as I enjoyed Steven Universe (I understand how it was basically a kid tryna reconnect with his estranged family yada yada I understand the themes), placing the onus of redemption on the redeemer rather than the person seeking redemption is uh... irresponsible maybe? Blitzwing regardless of whether he wants to redeem himself should still be given treatment, no one is unworthy of treatment even if they've done plenty to cause others to need it. What makes it not a conducive environment for treatment or redemption at all is that unfortunately, Blitzwing despite everything has had very real reasons not to trust Autobot scientists, even if he'd been taught to generalise his skepticism to medical officers who have sworn to do no harm.
He'd kinda be in this fucked up state of 'needs to be treated' and 'cannot trust anyone to treat him' where this would probably be the one time where everything has the time to bubble up and boil over into active contemplation of dying. It'd been a background element for millennia but in an Autobot prison cell with nothing to do and no one to help, unlike rotting on a planet Deceptions were exiled to or wandering the stars on a wild goose chase, this is the clearest moment in his mind that he has lost and the Autobots have won and he HAS FAILED. Failed and he's still alive, living it's own torture because he couldn't even die right. Going with the Hasbro mandated route, it would almost be a 'justice' committed upon him when Megatron throws him to feed the fuel of Trypticon, I mean he was already fuel for the war. Waking up will be it's own repeat of 'couldn't die right', and it would be very hard to convince him to actually fight against Megatron (though a convincing argument would be mentioning how it'd be a suicide mission, though it's not like he's going to just announce he'd be cooperating with Team Prime just so he can die for once)-
Either way, it will be VERY FUCKING HARD to even get Blitzwing in a position healthy enough to want anything other than dying after all is said and done, and for him to be in any way interested in redemption would mean fundamental structural changes to the Autobot polity and ethics commission to separate what the past and present Autobots deem to be redemption (conformity, probably still imprisonment, accepting being a lesser class) and actual redemption (making up for the harm done in the past, reintegration into society, being given a second chance for life with all the supports needed to achieve it), it will not be a one-and-done deal.
I think initially the Autobots tried to manufacture frames that had two alternative forms, referencing combiner gestalts and their structure (both the frame itself and their T-cog), and found... middling results; turns out combiners - despite the shape of their T-cog allowing for a third-mode - only have the capacity to transform into that third-mode if another gestalt member did the same, seemingly needing another spark to bare the brunt of the form and a new combined identity to form it, all the while only having a portion of another root-mode rather than an additional alt-mode. That realisation spun off into its own combiner-centric research, the study of gestalts (which split off into the study of bondlinks in of themselves), and has recently ballooned in interest after the development of Safeguard and the formation of a gestalt bondlink POST-forge rather than during construction. Scientists have their own theories as to why and are *coughs in hand* 'considering subjects to research on' but haven't quite gotten Council approval yet-
But that's a side tangent and way too far into the future for the Triple-Changer Trials!
So yes, constructing a triple-changer frame didn't work; the mecha couldn't access one of their other forms, and upon autopsy found that the structures intended for the secondary alt-mode were partially reabsorbed into the proto-form as if deemed redundant, better used as materials to be consumed like a parasitic twin. On that front, they needed a new direction. Not wanting to construct a lone member of a gestalt that never existed - to have a triple-changer's third-mode be a detached limb - or for the alt-mode they had designed be absorbed by the growing proto-form, they turned their research to fully developed mecha.
There have been rumours of (illegal, backalley) surgeries that can change a mecha's alt-mode, the High Guard tracking cases of warframes and beastframes trying to infiltrate civframe districts (their words not mine), identity theft [REDACTED BY THE HIGH COUNCIL], and investigating the surgeons themselves following a line of corpses (ignoring the fact some mecha identified have been civframes trying to convert into warframe or beastframe bodies). If the researchers can get their hands on a couple of these infiltrators if not the surgeons themselves, then they may be able to *coughs into hand* 'pick their brains' about the operation if not find out themselves with a full-body inspection. Some surgeons were successfully paid off to work under them for the on-going project.
Combining (HAH) their research on combiner T-cogs and their learnt understanding of alt-framing (the reassignment of frame type), they found that unlike first-sparked proto-forms for newcons, a fully developed mecha's endoform does not view the replacement pieces of a different alt-mode as material to consume, rather it adapts and slots the new pieces along seams that reconstruct themselves to open and part in corresponding ways; the body is able to adapt to the replaced material rather than viewing it as redundant. The issues arise when certain sparks sputter under the strain of even just this so called 'simple' procedure of alt-framing, but you can't forge a tool without smelting a few scraps; they were criminals anyway, can't have that.
Before turning to untainted mecha, the researchers studied on T-cog mechanimals, testing first on frizz-rats and glitch-mice, attempting to give each respectively a pigeonoid and bolt-bat third-modes. They increased the size; combining a singlehorn with an alloygator; and even larger; a fusion between a buzz-boar and a sonicondor. They eventually were satisfied enough with the results, testing combinations left and right, making sure if each pair could work with A + B and B + A. Vitals were tested (those that survived measured from healthiest to least and the variables listed down to the minute differences), behaviours observed (does the mechanimal retain it's knowledge of it's original frame, does it's third-mode come with instincts to assist in use or does it need to learn everything from scratch, does the mechanimal desire to transform at all), and the effects of domestication were considered (is a dieselle still docile with a hellhound third-mode, can a hellhound be tamed with a dieselle third-mode). This period of testing came to an end and the mechanimals were put to rest.
With what they learnt, the scientists turned to the populace, and hand-selected a trial of 3 to start. This will be their undoing.
TL;DR, referencing combiner physiology, they discover that a third-mode is supported predominantly by a gestalt bondlink rather than their frame/T-cog. This has unintended side-effects unobserved from mechanimal testing, which serves as a biomechanical risk factor to certain system forming related mental disorders :)
This vessel has been shaped by your Platonic idea of her, past experiences layered upon past experiences layered upon past experiences; how would you know who she was if you had not met her before? She will make for a nostalgic heart.
Yay Lyphos gets a turn, this time unravelled apotheosis- this was extremely hard to get a good scan of so watch me butcher the image tryna get the extreme contrast lmao

Congratulations to WH:ACO for reviving my creative abilities (and spawning new ones), have Sefice referencing Slay the Princess, particularly for me getting back into pencil and paper drawing! Impressive!
That concept you came up with makes me think that the Deltarune equivalent is actually a direct sequel to the Undertale equivalent set after Frisk liberates all the trapped organization members and joins the ranks with the Fallen Humans being former top BMP members or former Plumbers who tragically lost their lives trying to save them but their souls are unable to fully rest just yet until they can fulfill their “final dream”. Comes with the added bonus of if Frisk and Kris are the same person here they can go “holy shit it’s that one asshole Ectonurite I fought on my first adventure and apparently it was a girl this whole time, you know what good for her” when fighting Pink.
I could see the Asriel and Chara roles being the original founders of the BMP, so maybe Flowery could be one of them keeping their true identity a secret?
(Also hear me out: Spamton is an albinic Galvanic Mechamorph who’s defective like Malware and just as evil and conniving as him but shorter, glitchier, much more mentally deranged, and speaks in a barely coherent manner so he can’t really commit any big crimes until he finds the “right body”…though he does have the possible potential for redemption provided the Anodite Spark doesn’t use its human host to pursue “The Forbidden Path”.)
With Gerson also having been brought up previously as having died, the B10CU version of events between Undertale and Deltarune are probably more directly connected to each other than the games themselves (give or take Sans’ bs). I think my brain is really determined (lmao) to try and translate both plots into the BMP au as accurately and literally as possible but really, I shouldn’t do that; saying that, Gerson could be our through-line rather than Sans and the reason why one of their facilities entered a rift was because he offered Gaster some more magical knowledge the other used to supplement his knowledge in science to ‘create the core’. AKA rather than humans sealing monsters away underground, we skip straight to shattering Gaster across space and time and in an effort to better understand how rifts might function, one opened beneath their feet.
(Surely no one will use what was not written down as a surprise tool to use later this will surely impact the trout population)
Since Frisk would technically be an active member of the Bureau of Metaphysical Phenomena they’d be aged up, but it also maybe means the more child-like flowers like Aqua and Orange could also easily be aged up too (though, I’d put them in a cadets program, and/or students of the BMP studying at this specific facility), since particularly if it’s a facility that was like… actively studying the structure of rifts and trying to like… simulate one - task failed successfully one might say - it prolly wouldn’t be one of those space station types that has an attached BMP section like a fire brigade on board. On the other hand, maybe switch it around and the Undertale scenario was a whole ass space station, residential spaces, businesses, education included and Deltarune is the cautionary tale where fuckers learnt to be extremely careful with rifts. Hmm, yes the latter one, it drags basically everyone in but ‘everyone’ is still like a manageable number (businesses and homes and stuff is mostly built around a VERY long stay at the facility and has to be self-sustaining because it’s very self-isolated yes yes). Maybe if we go 2-2-2 between Plumber, BMP member, and maybe resident (with their own separate jobs), we can have Aqua and Seth as BMP members (a cadet and a researcher respectively, Seth maybe an assistant to Gerson while Alphys was an assistant to Gaster AKA they were one of the two immediate casualties of the rift), Orange and Yellow as Plumbers (cadet again, then active member respectively), and Green and Blue were residents on the station (they’re literally translated across, or are at least more civilian and mundane members of each organisation, like the chef of the Plumber’s mess hall or one of the faces of BMP with the hobby of dance).
Either way [goes to sleep to write this another day]
I think since I make the anodite spark explicitly stolen and Not Kris by eheh metaphysical means, Frisk and Kris are still different people but the spark itself (kinda like the player interacting with things and people Kris wouldn’t care about) the spark could be from Chara as like… the dead soul that still ‘lives’ unlike the other souls/flowers, particularly since as the BMP isn’t a game the spark can be it’s own character haha. So it’d mostly be the anodite spark reacting to everything like the really angry ectonurite somehow getting stuck in a rift and discovering herself, pointing many fingers at Flowery who’s almost Flowey but is different (since Flowey on geno thinks Frisk is a reincarnation of Chara rather than having any Chara still with him), and watching Spamton merge with maybe a prototype or scrap golem of parts from Mettaton NEO.
Which on that, I can’t believe I didn’t think about an albino Malware-like galvanic mechamorph for Spamton, especially since if you generalise to a species wide population, Malware would not be the only mechamorph with his disability or simply have other disabilities that would show up; being treated well for having a disability well- unfortunately you just need to look at Malware’s story and see how well treated he was. And being a direct sequel sorta, either MTT NEO was an unused upgrade or even just the real deal itself broken and unhoused… though I’d have no idea how alternate routes would work, even including the weird route. Technically the BMP doesn’t have like a number of people who are confirmed to be alive so technically you can fudge some numbers, but in the Undertale path Gerson if no one else will report Frisk for using the rift as an excuse to kill everyone, in the Deltarune since Ralsei acts as I suppose the ‘guy inside’ he’ll know the number more accurately and has the capacity to report Kris or at least start an investigation. Idk idk, the rifts are much different from Darkworlds and their escapist fantasy, I think the lowest it can go would be a neutral route or you don’t recruit everyone, but that’d be mostly since it’s a rescue mission and sometimes you can’t save everyone, particularly the 6 human souls.
NGL the Ben 10 x Deltarune idea has gotten even funnier to me after Chapter 5 because it’s established that literally every alien species in the B10CU view Earth as some backwater planet with lowly advanced beings as the dominant species meanwhile a bunch of alien plants that got mutated into Floraunas or Methanosians from the dimensional rift energy with one of them inexplicably looking similar to Argit’s species for some reason (assuming they don’t flat out become an original species) are locking tf in trying to LARP as humans and also one of them somehow knows about the existence of San Francisco
Hah, not to pull a ‘Ralsei is Asriel’s dust’ on you but, here’s this idea; the flowers, analogous to Undertale still, are dead humans brought to life again, but they’re flowers because that’s the closest living thing they were next to!
Kinda the opposite to how most Deltarune darkworlds are inanimate objects while the flowers are like living things given a darkworld form (still functionally darkners because they don’t have a soul, technically lightners because they cannot live without it), these rift versions of them can only live in this phenomena because they’ve already passed on in this one. The main people that are actually stuck in the rift would be Asgore and Mad Mew Mew. Each of the flowers can still resemble plant-based species, it’s still a metaphysical phenomena it would pull from the logic of the universe, see plant-based people, then assign them a shape that matches.
Here’s where I would assign each flower to a plant-based alien, but unforchies for us I cannot canonically give you 7 plant aliens, a combination of not reading every alien to vet if they’re based on plants, having a small number of canonical aliens, and having some non-canonical aliens. Between florauna, those alien mushrooms/mycelium, methanosians, atasians, those magical pumpkin constructs, thornhounds, and alien trees well… two of them are fakers (and idek if thornhounds are sapient though technically that wouldn’t matter), I don’t think the pumpkins count as a species of person or animal, and who’s the unlucky bastard getting the highbreed (there’s a bailiff atasian, maybe Yellow can be, especially for the height thing).
Either way that’s my initial idea, still don’t know what the Dreemurrs would be (but I feel like the Holidays should be kraaho), and Mad Mew Mew is easily an ectonurite meet with appoplexian and somehow the ectonurite’s angrier than the appoplexian!
every time someone realizes they dont have to pick between being a boy or a girl an angel gets its wings btw. and also extremely loud cheering can be heard in the distance from me specifically
