Season 7 Episode 5: My Way; Maya and her wife, Carina, recently started fostering a baby named Liam and although they're happy with him, they're looking to expand their little family. However, Carina got bad news regarding her FSH levels and her egg count which put a damper on the idea until Maya suggests getting Carina pregnant with one of her own eggs.

Elijah Loomis was born to young struggling parents. From an early age, he knew that life didn’t have much in store for him. The small ramshackle apartment where he’d been born would be where he would die. How he spent the in between years hardly mattered.

He wasn’t stellar in school. In fact, much of the time Elijah spent between the principal’s office and detention. It seemed pointless to invest in doing well in school when he already knew his place in life.

After graduating from high school, Elijah went on to work at the museum. It seemed like a natural fit since his life would begin and end in this town. They didn’t really have many talents, but they were personable and good at talking. So, being a tour guide seemed like an easy enough job.

At the age of 27, Elijah found out that the girl he’d dated for just a few months had given birth. He wasn’t ready to be a father but when a two month old Noah was left at his apartment’s door (a la baby daddy), Elijah realized that he had no choice. He would be a father whether he was ready or not.

For the sake of his child, Elijah plans to attend college and move into a better apartment, though he hasn’t as yet. The museum still consumes much of his time, though a little under a year ago, he and a friend decided to start a true crime podcast.

biography.

dorian romero was always enamoured with hollywood. growing up in moorbrooke, he was far away from it but he spent a lot of time watching tv and writing his own shows. he wrote and acted in his own plays. his family was always excited to see what the great romero would be cast in next! all he knew was that he wanted to be an actor, and that he’d be a really good one.

by the time he got to middle school, he began to audition for local commercials and department store modelling gigs. sadly he didn’t have much luck, he never understood why. his parents just told him to focus on school instead but never made him feel like less than just because the white kids were getting cast and he wasn’t. because of this he was a little sheltered, of course he wasn’t clueless about racist remarks but he it wasn’t until a school bully made an off hand comment of how cheerios would never cast a brown kid. the comment sent dorian off the edge, he acted out violently and got suspended for the week.

that week changed his life. all the time he stayed home he rewatched all those shows he loved and he finally saw that no one looked like him. everyone was white in hollywood and he made a vow to change that. this situation did crush his spirit and he stopped going to auditions, and instead just focused on his writing. it never really took off either, but he never stopped writing.

by the time he graduated with an acting degree from moorbrooke uni, hollywood was already starting to be a little more diverse. his career was still slow, he acted as the funny best friends, the sidekicks, the villains and never the main character. dorian was devoted to his craft, though. he wanted to be a great actor one day, he wanted to have his name in lights. he continued to act, published short stories and just kept working.

he moved around a lot, even tried la but ended up putting his roots in new york.

by the time he reached his late 20s and still hadn’t landed a permanent role, he thought maybe he needed to change his game. in university there was this one man who had caught dorian’s attention, but he was taken. dorian never acted on his feelings, he never said anything. he only watched from a distance and admired and he wrote. he still that notebook, filled with ideas about his fleeting muse. he started working on that story, he even got an agent and it was in the work of getting released.

he worked on that book for a whole year. he worked on it the night he turned 30 and that afternoon, on his birthday.. he got his big break. his book was up for several awards and was seen as a queer beacon in the community. his book was up for movie rights and thus changed dorian’s life.

the movie was an success. overnight the world knew who dorian romero was. he wrote and acted in the movie alongside, santiago. his name was on everyone’s tongue and it wasn’t long until he landed a tv show. it was a family drama that was on tv for 10 years. dorian’s every dream came true, he was finally a famous actor. his name was up in lights for years. he was finally satisfied.

unfortunately for him, the marriage agreement turned actual marriage with diana guo was now in shambled. he was busy, he was neglectful and she was cheating with his childhood friend. they divorced when dorian was 38. dorian stayed in new york until his show ended four years later. now he’s 42 and back in the sweet town he once called home.

he is satisfied with his career, and maybe even looking for love at this point. he’s in no rush. he wants to focus more on writing and catch his breath from the whirlwind that’s been his life.

aspen archer never knew her family. born to an unmarried mother who would have rather spent the nights out with people than a screaming baby. her father was a similar catch. she spent her eighteen years of life, bouncing from foster home to foster home. she found peace in her friendships, regardless of how short they ended up being. from school to school she always knew how to make friends and take care of herself. she knew how to keep herself happy, art. no matter where she was placed, a notebook could always keep her mind at rest. ash always said that her life did not start until she was eighteen.  

once she turned eighteen, a trust was released to her. the day she aged out of the foster care system, she became independently wealthy. turned out both of her biological parents didn't want her, but also passed away before she could ever meet them. Aspen Archer was the last child of the Archer family. her grandmother set a trust for her to inherit the day she turned eighteen. 

the good thing to come out of virginia was aiden. he came from a similar background as her. foster care, drug addict deadbeat parents. aspen needed to leave roanoke, aiden needed to stay. aspen found her way to moorbrooke, and settled to town immediately. 

aiden and aspen kept in contact, they were in love and the distance was their biggest argument for years. aspen always made her way back to roanoke for aiden. aiden had never made the journey to moorbrooke. 

in moorbrooke, aspen discovered her talent for design. with the resources she was given, she opened waveson boutique. full of her own designs, her own art, hers. two years into opening the boutique, aspen struggled to keep a clientele. uninspired, needing her muse, aspen flew out to see her love. 

that was the last time she would ever return to her hometown. aspen wanted to surprise aiden at his apartment, she waited and sat in the hallway waiting for him. she knew he would be off work soon, but rather she was greeted by a woman. a gorgeous one, she looked so pure, sweet, kind, she looked the opposite of aspen. she was also seemingly six months pregnant. aspen couldn’t unsee the women who walked into the apartment. she sat and stared at the door, waiting for aiden, to end things in person now rather than become re-inspired. the moment the couple had locked eyes, a tension, despair, death like feeling entered the hallway. words were barely used, rather their eyes did the talking. aspen ended it and left. he never did chase her, she did not expect him to, but nevertheless hurt he didn't.

Bio:

Jen grew up with loud parents and an annoying older sister. She never seemed to fit in with them. She had no real ambition in their eyes, she just wanted to do her thing and be left alone. In reality, they simply didn’t agree with the way she wanted her life to look. At eighteen she moved out and joined the military, with the idea that she could serve some time and then afford to get a degree in criminal justice. It seemed like something that would let her travel, would maybe lead to something interesting. Instead she saw a lot of desert, a lot of blood, and a lot of death. When she came home, she tried to go back to something that seemed familiar, but life was different. Jen was different. She had a boyfriend who dumped her, parents that had retired to Florida and a know-it-all big sister who had moved to Arizona to get married and pop out babies with her attorney husband.

Jennifer spiraled. Hard. Drinking, drugs, sex. Anything to numb herself, to get to sleep, to wake up, to function. She began seeing a guy regularly and all they did was party. One morning, after a bender she woke up beside him on the couch. He never woke up. She was 24 years old and had never had a sterling reputation, meanwhile Trevor, had been the apple of his parents’ eye. His family had money, status and privilege. She was taken to court, painted as the reason for his death and the real source of the drugs. The judge sentenced her to five years in prison. It was rough, but it afforded her the time to get clean.

It’s been 4 years since she left prison, and she managed to rebuild her life and maybe even a bit of her reputation. Instead of pouring herself into partying, she works out and even runs the damn gym. The dream of being a cop is long gone, thanks to the felony on her record. Instead, she’s an armchair investigator, studying true crime and pouring through chat rooms.

Personality:

Jennifer can be friendly. Personable. She doesn’t hate people, not in the least. She loves people, she just gets sick of them easily. There is usually at least a few late bills she’s bouncing between or a repair she needs to get ahead of, but she is weirdly grateful for something to throw her attention into. BIOGRAPHY.

oliver coulson was born to a loving single mother in chicago. they’d been left by his father shortly after he was informed of the pregnancy, so his whole life he only ever had a mother. she was honest with him from the start and so he never asked about his father. two years later came his little sister dominique, and once again there was no man in the picture. ollie didn’t mind this upbringing because come hell or high water, his mother never disappointed him. he lived in chicago until he was 20 when both him and his sister started to pursue their stupid dream of being punk rockstars. it was silly, but the band had been together for three years now and they had an opportunity to tour. their sibling rockstar career was short lived because only a couple months on the road and his sister decided she wanted to go to college, and left the band. dominique went back to chicago and ollie and the band continued touring the states. a year after the band’s tour, and pumping out two albums, they met their demise. the band broke up and oliver was left without a job, or a passion. by this time he’d worked every customer service job imaginable and he was tired. he’d already tried to pursue his musician dream and now at 22, when all of his other friends were graduating with degrees, he wanted to do something mature. he began to volunteer as a fireman in chicago, while working nights at a diner. eventually when they were hiring for more firefighters, ollie was first in line and he started that career. he often switched states just to work different gigs and met people that way. dominique went to maine where she started her career as a meteorologist and over the years, she kept oliver updated. and ollie was always jealous that dominique got her degree, because she had the marks for a full ride scholarship where as all he’d done since high school was work minimum wage and long hours.  during his mid and late twenties ollie moved around a lot so he never truly unpacked in a place. he had a few relationships, but nothing that truly panned out. if he was being honest, he wasn’t sure that settling down would ever be for him. after all, he was 28 and his heart was still stuck with the one that got away. that all changed when he met wanted connection. it was love at first sight and with them, ollie finally found a home. they were wonderful in every way and they’ve been together ever since. their relationship faced tough times when ollie heard about dominique’s disappearance. oliver was a mess. his sister was his life and he’d visited her so many times, she was so happy in her job. but at only 27 years of age, dominique was gone and the authorities reported her as dead. this was his last somber visit to moorbrooke and it happened a year ago. his partner supported him wholeheartedly and it was the only reason ollie’s still standing.  fast forward to now. dominique passed away a year ago and ollie found himself back in moorbrooke. it wasn’t work that brought him here, but his sister. he wanted to feel close to her again, so here he came. unfortunately for his relationship, a couple months after domi’s death, ollie found himself unable to sit still in the relationship again. he got caught cheated on his partner, and they’re currently on a break, but not broken up ( very rachel/ross ). he’s working at the fire department in moorbrooke and currently crashing at his best friend’s ( but he’s paying rent  ).

ollie is a funny guy. he’s silly and charming and he likes it when people like him. he’s also a huge flirt and he loves any attention he gets. he’s a good friend, and always there if you need a shoulder to cry on. but being a bastard bachelor for so long, he never really became mature. he’s still careless with how he spends money and always wonders what if. he thinks his golden years have passed him by. he is going to therapy and he was diagnosed with depression and anxiety. he’s very keen on self sabotage because when your sister dies younger than you’ll ever be again, there is no point in trying. he doesn’t think he deserves a good life. big bucket of self hate over here!
