Welp. 😓 Parasol Lady Ansy & Sora here - we’re already back with another one (“Cas-cas…”)
Long story short, Canada is on fire, & smoke from those fires are making their way down the US northeast coast. We’ve also been seeing some thunderstorms blow through on a cold front, which is good news & bad news:
Good news: rain cleans the atmosphere & waters the dry earth & thirsty plants. 🌧️ Bad news: if the earth is too dry, it might make areas susceptible to flooding more at risk. 😥
If the air quality is poor due to the smoke, avoid going outside or opening your windows, & wear a mask (especially if you have something like asthma, allergies, or other respiratory sensitivities).
Keep following your local & federal weather reports to know what to do to stay safe. 😷
If you’re in Canada (or otherwise facing wildfire conditions), PLEASE be safe, & if you aren’t safe, get to safety! 🔥
Watch the forecasts, listen to the emergency broadcasts in case you need to evacuate, & don’t start any fires outside while under wildfire conditions.
In the meantime, while SOME people want to blame Canada, when if it were us on fire, they’d send firefighters to help >:T, here are some places I’ve found that you can send support if you can 🇨🇦
First Nations’ Emergency Services Society of BC
Canadian Red Cross - Wildfire Fund
Global Giving - Canada Wildfire Relief Fund
Whether it’s fire, smoke, or storms, take care! (“Cas!”) 🙏🏻
