This Garlic Ginger Braised Chicken is a flavorful and comforting dish that combines the aromatic flavors of garlic and ginger with tender chicken thighs braised in a savory sauce.
Ingredients: 4 chicken thighs, bone-in, skin-on. Salt and pepper to taste. 2 tablespoons vegetable oil. 4 cloves garlic, minced. 1 tablespoon ginger, minced. 1/4 cup soy sauce. 1/4 cup rice vinegar. 1/4 cup honey. 1 cup chicken broth. 2 green onions, thinly sliced for garnish.
Instructions: Season chicken thighs with salt and pepper on both sides. In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add chicken thighs, skin side down, and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Flip and brown the other side for another 5 minutes. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and ginger. Cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, and chicken broth. Stir to combine. Return chicken thighs to the skillet, nestling them into the sauce. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to low. Cover and let simmer for 25-30 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and tender. Garnish with sliced green onions before serving. Serve hot over rice or with your favorite side dishes.
