Despite starting in south Florida (which counts as Northern US), then moving up into the actual south, having family from all over. My accent, to Americans, is unidentifiable. My accent to everyone else is “American” but that’s it. Though my vocabulary has Southern words in it, like “y’all” and such.

Two versions, Pokémon Rose and Pokemon Thorns. One is all women gym leaders, one is all men.
Two difficulties. There’s “normal” where it’s setup like a normal Pokemon game. Not that hard, but after each gym you only get risqué but completely SFW pics of the leaders. The story is otherwise completely the same.
Then you have the “Intended” difficulty. Where every gym has competitively viable teams, but they each use a different gimmick. Like one gym has a trickroom team, another has a stall team, one has a prankster assist setup. And you’re not blindly thrown into the full competitive leader battle. The gym trainers have less good versions of the gimmick, like the prankster assist gym trainers might have the move, but then the Gym Leader will have a prankster Liepard with assist and holding a lagging tail using something like Fly, Phantom Force, Dig, Dive, etc.
And beating THOSE gyms you get the NSFW stuff. Also you have the option to skip the NSFW stuff if you’re a real weirdo and you’re playing just for the difficulty.

This is the best description I’ve heard for this method, I always thought it was bullshit because I never heard a description that actually explained how to do this other than “tap your head 20 times”.
I have anxiety-induced hissing, which sounds/feels different from sound-induced tinnitus (which I have also experience). Sound-based tinnitus actually sounds like you’re “hearing” something in your ears, whilst the hissing I have feels like it’s “inside my head”, if that makes sense. But this technique still helps!!
