So, I realized I haven't posted any art here for a long time. I still do draw, but it's very rare when I finish something and almost none of what I finished is something I'd put here. So... I think I'm just going to make it a personal blog! And will make an art sideblog when I have something to put there.

I love videogames as I already told, a lot of stuff I love is some obscure weird bullshit but I also love things like Hollow Knight and Spyro. I also love BUGS. They're CUTE. Though I don't really know that much about them, lol. Also invertebrates in general, alongside birds and sea creatures. I'm also very interested in worldbuilding and have worked on a fictional world for years, it's what I initially made this blog for, but guess actually posting about it can wait a bit.

The original post was pardoned, but the shadowban still persisted and every reblog was hidden from the dash and flagged explicit. I'm not sure if it recovered by now, or if it's always going to be at risk of banning.
So whatever staff reviewed my complaint agreed that it wasn't explicit. So thank you for that, moderator. This highlights that the problem starts with bad actors reporting anything they don't like, and that it's a tossup if your appeal is seen by a bot, a normal human, or a bigot.
I'm grateful I can still touch people and spread positivity. Many of my queer siblings, brothers, and sisters - especially trans sisters - can't say the same.
But no matter what happens, we will always have each other. Every letter in our alphabet is a pillar holding up a beautiful world that only stands if we're all in it together. The world may call you a monster, but it calls me one too. Maybe you won't hear it from the rest of them, but listen and you will hear it from me.
Basilisk 2000 areas that are really creepy to me, in no particular order
Btw If you're planning to play it keep in mind that it has spoilers to entire game, so beware. There's no real reason behind this list, this game just stuck in my head and I want to ramble about it, lol
Arena, though it itself isn't too bad, it's pretty cool even! But you can descend into corridors underneath it and find really weird exit door. It's a modern office door, with some posters on a wall near it. It's also located in the very much unlit corridors underneath a medieval coliseum, probably in an area that was supposed to connect to jail cells or a different level, making it jarringly out of place, and it got some corpses around. Flair text says they are skinned or something of this sort. As you approach the door, the music stops and you will be left with silence even as you get back to the arena. Whatever happened behind that door, it must be something sinister. Scared me off of going to Arena for a bit.
Office and connected areas. From how it looks, it's supposed to be an easter egg of sorts. Meet the devs, look around their workplace, pretty cool. The unfinished nature of Basilisk makes exploring it feel really uneasy though. The halls are empty and lighting is dim, and as you search around you find some honesty weird details. Why is one of the devs's status is dead with 0 hp? Why is there a weapon underneath one desk. You can kill everyone and it takes you to even creepier version of the office with just one person alive and hiding in the stalls. You can find someone's note about how they want to leave and you can find a passcode to another level from here. Which takes you to an empty airport. Nothing really is happening here outside of one of the planes being crashed into a building but the way everything looks and how nobody is here feels off.
Waste. Basilisk 2000 is set in a medievalish setting, but waste looks like ruins of a modern city. Pretty sure it wasn't supposed to be in the game. It's a very big area, I don't think I found everything that is here. If you go under the map you can find Basilisk's eye from the previous SNES game cover stare at you, and you can also find various… creatures… wandering around the wastes. They are the only animated things in the entire game, and the way they move is pretty creepy to me. They also phase in and out of existence so you can't see them usually, but they announce their presence with static. Thank heavens they don't care about you and don't do anything other than wandering.
Torus. Apparently it's a city, as you learn from one of the npcs. However, if you go there, all there is is, well, a giant torus in the middle of nowhere. You can walk on it. There is also an npc who ran out of milk. Guess this is pretty easy thing to do if you live on a giant torus, lol. Then you get transported into some fucked up area with everyone screaming but you can't really see anything much since you get booted out of there. Guess you should never run out of milk, huh. The screaming things have some dialogue but I don't feel like going there again and again just to get all the lines.
Decirest. Looks like a cursed little city, with a beautiful sky over it. Gives it an otherworldly feel. One of the npcs in nighttime Havenwood mentions they're from there, but nobody is here when you arrive. Houses, pavement, everything is affected by the curse, and if you look into the windows you get treated to a rather… unsettling imagery. All the doors seem to be locked and give you some lovely flavor text like "Broken" or "No one to answer". The music track for that area is really calm and nice for some reason, and that the skybox has a very cheesy text you can only see out of bounds. If not for the music and the cheesy phrase I'd be noping out of there much faster.
Event. Admittedly I only wandered around there for a short while and then went to watch a playthrough because my computer acts out and drops framerate to like 2 fps when I try to go there. Makes it painful, lol. So it's just what little experiences I got from wandering around and seeing some of playthrough. Tbh anticipation of something fucked up happening was nervewracking, I don't think I'd actually make it very far even if my computer wasn't a potato. You can't explore all of the event at the first time, and have to return for the area to change, and then there's a THING deeper into the level, brr.
Crimgur dungeon. I'm afraid of the dark and this place is very dark and goes very deep. At least it has rats. Funky lil guys :>
Also shoutout to that specific cliff in Palethar that starts playing this fucked up melody for some reason if you fly up there. Like what's up with it. It's not even supposed to be reached normally since in the final game you'd be traveling on foot and not flying around jumping onto cliffs. This music track is called "dried up forest" (or something like that), and one of npcs comments that Palethar used to have much more plants and trees before its water dried up so I wonder if it has to do something with that. But god why this track is so creepy about it

Was looking up Deltarune mods and saw a few that are made specifically to misgender Kris. What's really annoying about it is that it was concluded by the administration that mods like these are totally ok and not hateful at all, with justification being something like, "well it's just like the other gender bender mods" and "everyone is entitled to their headcanons". And, what the fuck. No, it's more similar to mods that remove gay themes or make trans characters cis. Yeah sure people can do anything forever, doesn't make the shit they're doing any less bigoted.

Yes! In the beginning, after a few scares with monsters, Polly would try to teach Nil how to use an axe and a crossbow for self defense and to help hunt (Nil has previously been acquainted with the crossbow already, but they're not actually good with it).
They were not very enthusiastic about this at first.

A long while ago, I dreamt that I was cleaning a cat skull, only to find many leeches and worms inside it, crawling out when I put the skull in water. At first I was scared, but then I felt very sorry for essentially destroying their hiding place.
I'm trying to play Silksong but it lags. So. Fucking. MUCH. I keep dying. I'm also having skill issue and Silksong feels so much harder with its more mobile enemies (and double freaking damage) but it's the lagging that drives me up the wall. WHAT DO YOU MEAN I'M JUMPING INTO THE LAVA WHEN I'M TRYING TO DO A SIMPLE JUMP ONTO THE PLATFORM. I'm so dead. God. My computer sucks massive ass. Just let me enjoy cool bug game, dammit!

it seems like the key theme of fungus is that they eat everything including things otherwise impossible to eat, they get everywhere with their tiny spores, and they grow and be happy wherever it is wet by eating the surroundings. So if get inside your body (wet) they eat you. so your two main options for being a multicellular organism are developing an immune system (most animals) or hiring other fungus to beat the shit out of the fungus that gets inside your body (most plants)
yea plants do have an immune system but they also regularly merge with fungi into superorganisms so it's very different. they have complicated signalling to determine who is friend and who is enemy. meanwhile mammals are over here like "KILL EVERYTHING THAT ISN'T US!!! Fungus? Kill. Bacteria? Kill. Myself? Huh, come to think of it, my intestinal lining is looking at me funny. I never liked him." *develops autoimmune disorder*
