Yes clark maybe you were the problem
crime/mystery media where the main character is just a nosy fuck and not a cop is always so entertaining and so much better than police procedurals
the part of adulthood that no one ever warns you about is the amount of surfaces you need to acquire to put your things and trinkets on

Once when I was in undergrad, someone described something as âproblematicâ in class and our professor was like, âThatâs cool, but âproblematicâ doesnât really mean anything. It means that the thing youâre describing has a problem, and in and of itself thatâs not bad. Art, especially, should always have problems, or else itâs not interesting and not art, either. It sounds like youâre trying to say that this is bad, but you donât want to say âbad.â Is that right?â
So from then on whenever one of us called something problematic, he would make us talk it out until we could name the âbadâ thing we were hinting at. In this particular class, 7/10 it was some type of oppression, and the remainder was like, âIâm uncomfortable because this is very new/confusing/pushing boundaries that made me feel safe.â
Once we stopped calling things âproblematicâ and stopping at that, class got way more interesting and... we all had to say, like, âthatâs racistâ or âthatâs misogynisticâ or âew capitalism grossâ out loud, which a lot of us had never done in a classroom before. Or we had to be like, âUhhh... Iâm not sure whatâs so bad?â and confront our own beliefs and that was maybe even more useful.
Anyway. Whenever I see the word problematic, I canât help but think of this professor being like, âGood starting point, now letâs get specific.â I think when we have to commit to saying âthatâs ___â it requires a lot more careful thought about the truth and impact and complexities of whatever weâre claiming. Sometimes there really is some bullshit afoot, and also sometimes itâs art, and it should be full of problems, because thatâs what art is.
me in the not-so-distant future of 2032 taking my beautiful wife out for a walk on a foggy day: damn it's like silent hill up in this bitch! đ
my wife: fuck you you say that every time it's a little foggy outside. you haven't even played the games. i hate you so much
our clone of former beatles drummer ringo starr who we normally keep locked in our basement but is currently joining us for his allotted 30 minutes of weekly outside time: ringo!
the other day i showed my friend this tweet:
and they were like "it's kind of sad that it's just cosmetic and your miis can't interact with it" and i went "wait but what if the miis were the checkers... OR going back to the original idea, making miis based off of chess pieces" and they were like "omg an entire chessboard island?!" and at that moment i had to be like. okay we need to stop because this is homestuck now. we're reinventing homestuck
just because a concept happened once in a large piece of media doesnât mean that piece of media owns that concept
homestuck owns every concept ever
thinking about harrow's little aus. thinking about her absolute conviction that she would love gideon under any circumstances. if gideon usurped her then harrow would love her. if they met as adults and gideon was her social superior then harrow would love her. if gideon was serving her coffee then harrow would love her. i will love you if i never see you again and i will love you if i see you every tuesday etc etc.
wait a minute..... these arent my memories
ughh. why does my head hurt

when the characters never really make peace with it
PJACKK HAS RETURNED
they just donât do any classic homophobic children moments like this anymoreÂ
There was really no winning that one
I know weâre all like lawless nonconformists but you really canât be texting and driving. thatâs one of the ones youâve gotta listen to for real
they're still terming random transfems as i type this i see which does make quite a statement doing this today specifically
watched three girls who reblogged its new blog mutual aidpost (made literally 15 minutes ago) already disappear from its notifs. transfems are not included in their pride :/
QUITE the statement to be nuking transfems at the current accelerated pace right at the start of pride month like this, isn't it

does being misogynistic help you pass as a man better... probably yes in some situations... however and this should be obvious, you still shouldn't do that. hope this helps.
how it feels to be obsessed with your own ocs but you cant think of what to say about them
