there's an impulse to make lighthearted smalltalk about it the same way I told a customer that I have the same vase that he just bought (isn't that such a nice color), but

working a soul-withering office job from home while staying with my parents (ostensibly for company while locked down so I wouldn't lose my mind because I had only been living fully on my own for a year at that point)

bingeing the magnus archives every free minute of the day. hours and hours of lying on my tiny couch in my room with headphones on and only coming out for meals, for weeks on end

which was super great for my mental health obviously, especially when work said I had to return to my apartment (alone) (no local friends) (just me) right after listening to season 4 (the lonely season :) ) which fucked me up and gave me literally constant anxiety nausea for months (all while still listening to and hyperfixating on and actively engaging in the fandom of the podcast)

all of this is context for the in hindsight extremely funny fact that one of those anxiety nausea triggers was this song:
