I cannot stand the parodies of modern major general, they're overdone and simply not as good as the original. They've done them about everything, whatever topic, big or small.
And when i notice one of them my eyes will always start to roll.
The diction's always slurry when they rush the complicated words, and adding many fricatives will turn it so cacophonous. The slanted rhymes are silly and they keep just making more and more, please someone stop the parodies of modern major general.
The scanning of the lyrics in the meter is unbearable, they emphazise the syllables in ways that are untenable, in short in matters musical, prosodic and ephemeral, i cannot stand the parodies of modern major general!

Replacing physical buttons and controls with touchscreens also means removing accessibility features. Physical buttons can be textured or have Braille and can be located by touch and don't need to be pressed with a bare finger. Touchscreens usually require precise taps and hand-eye coordination for the same task.
Many point-of-sale machines now are essentially just a smartphone with a card reader attached and the interface. The control layout can change at a moment's notice and there are no physical boundaries between buttons. With a keypad-style machine, the buttons are always in the same place and can be located by touch, especially since the middle button has a raised ridge on it.
Buttons can also be located by touch without activating them, which enables a "locate then press" style of interaction which is not possible on touchscreens, where even light touches will register as presses and the buttons must be located visually rather than by touch.
When elevator or door controls are replaced by touch screens, will existing accessibility features be preserved, or will some people no longer be able to use those controls?
Who is allowed to control the physical world, and who is making that decision?
I've known a number of non binary people in my life and I think single biggest conclusion I can draw from that is that non binary people are not the same. Like if Men fit in box A and women fit in box B, people really, really want nonbinary people to fit in a theoretical box C, and it just doesn't work like that. They are outside the boxes. They defy any simple categorization because they are not a third way of being, but every other possible way of being.
Being supportive of binary people is relatively simple, they have decided to sort themselves into one of the boxes that we have lots of experience interacting with. Being supportive of nonbinary people can be comparatively tricky, because you have to resist the urge to create box C and drop them all there. That's how we end up with various prejudices like "woman lite". Humans really, really like to categorize things. It helps us think. Unfortunately, sometimes it helps us think wrong.
If you have a non binary person in your life, I think it is important to take the extra effort to learn about them specifically.

I am a wildlife rehabber who specializes in cottontail care.
The stick method is not effective. We reccomemd sprinkling flour around the nest instead or setting up a camera if you are unsure if mama is returning to the nest. A few major things to add:
Never move the nest. Ever. Mom will not go searching for babies. She returns to her nest spot and if its empty she will grieve her babies.
Never block off the nest. People do this to protect the nest but if mama rabbit cant easily stand over the nest they will not be fed.
If the babies are injured DO NOT RETURN THEM TO THE NEST. take them out and put them in a box with soft cloth on the bottom with a heat source (heat pad under the box on low, a rice sock wrapped in a towel, warm water bottle etc). Keep them indoors in a safe and QUIET place while you get a hold of a rehabber. Injuries are prone to fly strike and this is disastrous for any animal. Cat caused injuries are lethal unless treated with the right antibiotics.
Most importantly:
DO. NOT. FEED. THE. BABIES. EVER.
Most of the cottontail deaths i see are actually human induced. Ive held too many kits that were choking to death or having full organ failure in my hands because someome decided to feed.
If you suspect anything about the nest call a rehabber right away even if you are just asking a question. Rabbits are extremely particular in their care and aspirate easily. Their formula is highly specific and randomly feeding them will cause organ failure.
