Today I wanted to talk about Marlow Trottie. Marlow was a 35 year old Black woman living in Louisiana, whose friends and family described as always having "a smile on her face" and as being "literally the sweetest person I’ve ever met!”, according to Them news' Quispe López.
Marlow Trottie was killed on June 8th 2026. She was found dead, alone, in the streets of Alexandria, Louisiana. It was a homicide.
Marlow Trottie was a woman. Her family has contested this, and publicly misgendered her, and many news sites have already deadnamed and misgendered her as well. I fear what her obituary will say. I fear what her gravestone will say even more.
She joins a growing list of other trans women who have been killed simply for existing. Again from Them news, that list now numbers 11 women from the past 3 months alone.
✊🏽Black men deserve peace.
✊🏾Black men deserve respect.
✊🏿Black men deserve to feel safe.
✊🏽Black men deserve to grow.
✊🏾Black men deserve to thrive.
✊🏿Black men deserve to love.
✊🏽Black men deserve to be themselves.
✊🏾Black men deserve to live their lives.
At this point I view the use of the term “TWERF” as a dog whistle/indicator of anti-transmasculine beliefs because it relies on the false notion that there is the existence of Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminists that include trans men/mascs in their radical feminism while excluding trans women/fems. No, it is not “inclusion” to misgender us as poor wombanly wombyn they need to rescue from “gender ideology”, just because they say they’re totally pro our rights (just while actively taking away our ability to transition and present as ourselves). Is it “inclusion” when TERFs sort transfems into the “man” group, because they personally believe them to be men? No? Then why is it considered so when we are sorted into the “women” group? We are both fundamentally denied our actual identity in pursuit of the cisgender binary, or in other terms, “excluded” from their version of radical feminism. Coincidentally, this is also why radical feminism can never be redeemed as a movement when trans inclusionary, because as it turns out splitting the world’s population into half and projecting a unified view of gender dynamics into each arbitrary group in ignorance of the reality subgroups within each face is Bad, Actually, even if you shuffle around where you put (ostensively binary) trans people in the mix.
HAPPY PRIDE to Black Aros on this site btw. Whether ur Aroallo aroace non-SAM loveless etc I hope your pride month is a good one

INCREDIBLY CONCERNING SPIKE IN ANTI-BLACKNESS IS HAPPENING RN.
Some of yall may have heard some of the shit that has been going on right now. I'm gonna give a quick run down of some of the stuff that has been happening. Note, this is not all, and it may never be all as much as I will try to update this.
(I am going to try and compile and briefly explain these as much as I can. There may be misinformation. Please inform me if I got something wrong.)
(This will also be updated with additional information and new topics added.)
1) Racist Chinese Dolls.
There are these dolls in China that are being called "Natasha" baby dolls. These dolls are not only very obvious caricatures of black people, but they are being advertised as a "stress relief" in which the people who buy these abuse it in various ways.
This links to a video of a compilation of the various "uses" of the doll. There are more in the replies of the tweet. (Another link to the same tweet just incase)
2) The Mocking, Abuse, and Dehumanization of Black Children.
Apart from the aforementioned doll, there are apparently people going around mocking, abusing, and dehumanizing black children.
Some people have compared black children to the doll.
Others have been going into African countries and have found ways to mock, abuse, and dehumanize black children for clout.
(Source 1 + Full Video) (Source 2)
There are more videos surfacing.
3) Black people are going missing.
Black people, especially children and teens have recently been going missing at an alarming rate. Some of these same people are turning up dead, deaths being ruled as "suicides."
While it generally unknown why many of these people are going missing, many suspect that their disappearances, deaths, and even lack of coverage is rooted in anti-blackness.
The following is a list of black people that have been reported missing as of recently. Please note that this is not a complete list (it may never be completed due to the fact that many of these disappearances will still occur as time passes) this may contain inaccurate information. Please inform me if that is the case.
By the time you see this, some of these people may have already been found either alive or deceased. This post will be updated overtime.
It is also heavily encouraged that you reblog this with more links to recent cases of missing black people if you are aware of any that aren’t included on this list.

A viral social media post stating there have been 63 Black children reported missing in Virginia since April 1 underscores a serious issue i
Calling an afro a "cloud bob" is CRAZY WORK 🤣 "defined by Tom Smith" how do you define the hair that comes out of Black heads 😭
Defined by Mrs. Ice CBC as "a flattened haircut with a limp, weighted silhouette", Depressed Curls plays well with thin hair lacking in volume textures.
so yeah, trans women are disproportionately banned on tumblr well know fact, and yes, sometimes they get banned for a good reason, but if every time someone says that trans women are disproportionately banned you bring up the fact that erm actually this one deserved it I really don't trust you to have good opinions about trans ppl sorry like. ok sure yes true now tell me how that is relevant and does anything except derail and delegitimize our very real concerns
idk if this pic is making the rounds on tumblr yet but its so cute look!!
Obsessed with this tag
[ID 1: three smiling black trans men standing outside wearing pants and their post surgical compression vests. The compression garment looks like a white wrap around. Their drainage stuff hangs on their pants.
[ID 2: tumblr tags that read "Oh! I didn't realise y'all had surgeries, I just thought you were showing off your tube tops." /End ID]

Happy Leland Melvin Day!!!
Happy Leland Melvin Day!

Happy Leland Melvin Day!!!
Happy Leland Melvin Day!!!!
Funny enough, I've been dwelling on this for a bit now. I think, after two years of doing this, it's finally starting to click why things like cultural appropriation and stereotypes are... Difficult for y'all to grasp. Why me saying you have to understand WHY things are the way they are, in order to avoid them.
It's because y'all keep treating racism as individual acts and not a systemic form of oppression.
And it's not like I didn't say it before in my earlier lessons. But we need the reinforcement, and that's okay!
Antiracism is not a checklist!
Racism is not a checklist!
Stereotypes are not a checklist!
Appropriation (and avoiding it) is not a checklist!
You cannot "well if I don't do that, then I won't be racist!" Your way out of racism. Sorry. There is no easy way out of participating in racism. There just isn't! If you don't know WHY something is racist, you'll just end up doing something else that's a problem for the same reason, because you're treating it as an Individual Act and not understanding the systemic weight behind it.
"[description] is a stereotype" why? WHY is it a stereotype? WHY is it racist to unironically think and convey this sort of description about a person? "Black women being on welfare is a stereotype" damn so poor Black women should just starve rather than be a stereotype? Their existence is bad? They should never see themselves and their stories in anything ever?
NO. The stereotype isn't because there are Black women on welfare. The stereotype is from people already believing that Black women are lazy and incompetent and greedy, and using them on welfare as an example to reinforce that existing bias.
The racism is in the interpretation, in the treatment of this woman, not the woman herself! Are all Black women on welfare lazy, incompetent, and greedy? No? So then why would it be a stereotype to write about a Black woman on welfare, unless you were conveying that you, too, believe this message about Black women on welfare?
This is one of those things where you realize that white gaze I was talking about a couple weeks ago. Where we can watch endless movies about white men kicking in doors and shooting civilians, and somehow understand that that doesn't represent their entire demographic (despite there actually being some statistics towards it)... But a Black person on screen represents the entire community. 😐 WHY? That's the systemic part!!
I'm not yelling bc I'm mad, btw. I'm very passionate about this topic. Gotta say that before anons come on at noon.
"Any change must start with two things. First, women of color must become aware of the limitations forced on them that these limitations are designed to keep us on the lowest rung of the hierarchy, and that we need to collectivize to bring them down...
Second, white women have to acknowledge the unfair advantage their race has given them not just in the sense they have white privilege, but in the sense they have participated in a system where their womanhood is itself a privilege and a weapon. Only then can the process of dismantling the archetypes begin. Judging by the research I uncovered in writing this book, I fear the opposite may be true: white women are more powerful than ever but they still cling to the role of the damsel in order to both exert and deny this power.
Think of how many white feminists adopt antiracism discourse to denounce "mediocre white men" and "white male supremacy," allowing them to temporarily distance themselves from white power. Perhaps it's time to stop taking concepts such as white man and white man's burden too literally... surely white man and white man's burden refer not only to white males but to white society as a whole. White women also took on the "burden" to civilize and subjugate the inferior races of the world, often with great enthusiasm.
In a way, I can see why the damsel persists: it would require an enormous amount of humility to view the history of white society for what it really is- and to reject the legacy it bestows upon them. And whiteness is not exactly known for its humility."

Lilly Wachowski, co-director of The Matrix, is producing a bold new sci-fi short film titled DOLLS, featuring an all–trans-women cast. The 18-minute thriller marks the directorial debut of trans filmmaker Geena Rocero and explores powerful themes of identity, empowerment, and community through a futuristic lens. Starring Rocero alongside Yên Sen, Arewà Basit, Macy Rodman, and Vas Eli, the project brings together a dynamic range of trans talent both in front of and behind the camera.
Described as a trans-coded reimagining of The Stepford Wives, DOLLS blends science fiction with sharp social commentary, highlighting the resilience, challenges, and strength of trans women. By centering trans voices and lived experiences, the film challenges traditional genre norms while pushing for deeper representation in Hollywood. Guided by Lilly Wachowski’s creative vision, DOLLS stands as a visually compelling and culturally meaningful work that celebrates inclusivity, identity, and empowerment in modern science fiction.

Love isn’t what makes us human. Sexual love is not what makes us human. Romantic love is not what makes us human. Platonic love is not what makes us human. Familial love is not what makes us human. There is no type of love that defines someone’s humanity
