After a year aboard the International Space Station, Scott Kelly is a different man. For starters, he may not have the same DNA as his identical twin brother anymore.

When Scott Kelly returned to Earth after a 340-day voyage aboard the International Space Station (ISS) two years ago, he was 2 inches taller than heâd been when he left. His body mass had decreased, his gut bacteria were completely different, and â according to preliminary findings from NASA researchers â his genetic code had changed significantly. (Interestingly, Scott Kelly has since shrunk back down to his initial prespaceflight height.)
A new NASA statement suggests the physical and mental stresses of Scott Kellyâs year in orbit may have activated hundreds of âspace genesâ that altered the astronautâs immune system, bone formation, eyesight and other bodily processes. While most of these genetic changes reverted to normal following Scott Kellyâs return to Earth, about 7 percent of the astronautâs genetic code remained altered â and it may stay that way permanently.

I wanna be famous, but like how voice actors or authors are famous. I wanna be able to go to conventions and sign stuff and meet people that are way cooler than me but somehow like my work and feel famous but then drive out to Robertitos taco shop for lunch in my Nissan Cube and not have anybody recognize me as I scarf down my chicken burrito and spill hot sauce on my shirt.

You know what? New rule.
If you force an introvert into a social gathering they donât feel comfortable with/donât want to go to you are responsible for their good time.
You have to include them in conversations or go sit with them when they have no one to talk to.
Because if you canât do that, donât make them come. Donât force them in a situation where they feel alone and helpless and leave them floundering.Â
âBut itâs good for them to get out.â Youâre not making me adapt. Youâre not making me more social. Youâre reinforcing every negative opinion I have on these gatherings and giving me the resolve to say âFuck offâ the next time you try this.
I would also like to add to this rule. Do not trap them there. Make sure they have a way to get home without you or you are willing to take them home if they feel uncomfortable. Even if you do spend time with them and make sure they have a good time let them leave if they want. Social interaction even with people they know and like can be tiring and they canât always keep up with extroverts.
