The first thing every editor learns is the mantra "save, save and save again". But sometimes shit happens. Truth is, it's been almost 2,5 months since I opened Premiere and it'd be a lie to say I don't miss editing. I always have this weird connection with every new video, like it's a newborn child in need to be loved and protected. Like I'm going to do my best for it, give it all I've got. This time I was most careful than ever, saving backups to USBs and everything. Somehow the day I procrastinated my backing up habit happened to be the day I spent the most hours editing, ending up sleepy and ready to get back to work the next morning. That was the turning point. After losing all this work motivation never really came and I neglected anything editing-related. I was already proud of my work but losing it unexpectedly, created the illusion that it was more beautiful than I remembered and that I wouldn't be able to reach that level again. There's a healing period for everything and it has successfully passed. Mistakes are nothing except guides for a better self and "bad luck" is the only way to toughen up. Unfortunately, now priorities have changed and this video needs to be postponed again for the beginning of the next year. One thing is for sure.
