I've always been an extremely casual MILGRAM fan, but I want to take a minute to talk about the evolution of my opinion on Mikoto's trial 3, cause I think it's important.
When I saw the report, I literally about threw my phone across the room. I was spinning through the stages of grief like a fucking merry-go-round, telling everybody I knew how bad they butchered my boy.
But then, while looking for people online to validate my frustration (like a complete idiot), I came across some takes from people who... actually looked at something other than the songs (hi new mutuals, that's some of you!). And I realized I completely misinterpreted everything (and made the mistake of having an opinion without having the full picture).
it's only been ab a day but i want to thank the community here for taking this post as well as they did. i'm a very anxious person so when i posted this i literally had to block the tumblr app on my phone for a few hours.. i don't normally engage with discourse so it was scary. but so far the responses have been really constructive so again, thank you!! it means a lot to me..

Do you think tumblr will ever learn the difference between “I’m defending this person because I agree with them wholeheartedly and I am also like this person” and “I’m defending this person because your behavior is dangerous and you need to stop”
IMO, blurring the lines between “I’m defending them because they’re right” and “I’m defending them because you’re taking this too far” is step numero uno to cutting down the very existence of fair trial and democracy–even in places where saying that might seem a little dramatic.Â
Mob mentality is extremely strong in humans and it’s also extremely dangerous. Mobs don’t think things through. Mobs kill and they destroy and they can’t be reasoned with. Someone trying to calm a mob down isn’t someone defending the ~problematic party~ It’s time we re-learn that.
I don't understand how cis people obsessed with gender norms think trans people are the weird ones. they're going around believing that your name has to correlate to your genitals. your fashion has to correlate to your genitals. your behaviours have to correlate to your genitals. your hobbies have to correlate to your genitals. who you date has to correlate to your genitals. whether you can put sparkles on your eyelids or not has to correlate to your genitals. and then people like me go "hmm. Not to be gloomy, but I've pretty much accepted atp that my Kickstarter is doomed to fail. I'm kinda okay with that though. I didn't expect it to go amazingly.
If it's of relief to anyone that was interested, I'm releasing Mercy is Dead anyway. I've already worked my ass off to get everything ready. I anticipate it to have an eBook and a paperback (it's too small for hardback, sorry), which I'm getting closer and closer to finalizing.

I miss when ads were a single click and then they’re gone. Now every ad has a minimum of three phases where you watch a video, exit the still frame of fake gameplay, and then exit the app download. That doesn’t even touch on the ones that forcibly take you to another app after opening a tab in safari without you ever touching the screen.
I hate advertising. I hate that you can’t do anything without companies jumping down your throat with mostly bullshit ads. I hate that billboards exist. I hate that every company unanimously decided to make their ads longer and longer. I hate that ad blockers try to charge you money and there are in app purchases to remove ads. I hate that my attention has become commodified. I hate that there’s nothing I can do about it.
I'm gonna say it, I do think that even the laziest person imaginable should have a roof over their head, food in their stomach, and access to healthcare
