The award-winning comedy-mystery audio drama about the (second) best detectives in London is raising funds for its third season!
Our season 3 Kickstarter is live! Fawx & Stallion is a comedy-mystery podcast about the best detective team in London! Not that one. The other one. Across the street, and slightly to the left, at 224B Baker Street. We've successfully solved two mysteries, and we'll need your help to get a crack at a third! Scripts are written, pre-production has begun, and all we need is the funding to make this show's engine start in earnest!
Season one of the show was primarily self-financed, and season two's 10 episodes were crowdfunded and produced for $8000. For season 3, we are telling a story unlike any you've heard, with 12 full-cast episodes. Thank you to our Patreon members who have helped finance our pre-production and our wonderful team of five guest writers! For this season, we are asking for $10,000 to bring this sprawling, absurd, ambitious story to life.
We invite you to check out our crowdfunding page, which is live now, for more info on the season, our budget breakdown, and our fantastic set of rewards (early access! annotated Holmes stories! stickers! for the first time, the opportunity to name a character or provide walla for the show!)
In the interest of highlighting our rewards, take a look at our first set of 4 stickers, because we have an offer for you: help us get $3000 in pledges in the first 72 hours, and we'll add a FIFTH pride-themed sticker to all $30 and up tiers!
More info about the season under the cut!
What can you expect from season 3?
LONDON, 1892! Now established as the go-to detective team in London, Fawx & Stallion are hired by a Canadian showbiz duo who believes they've brought a Curse with them across the Atlantic. The case kicks off a chain of events that sprawl across a rapidly-evolving London and threaten not only the soul of the city, but also the character development of the last two seasons!
As a team, we're always asking ourselves how we can continue to grow with this story, how we can challenge not only our characters, but ourselves - how we can find new ways to expand what this story can be. In doing that, we ended up with a set of scripts that are more ambitious than anything we've attempted before. Some things you can expect out of Season Three:
More Episodes! This season we’re expanding our plate to 12 episodes! That’s 2-to-2.5 more than usual! Why? Keep reading!
More Writers! Part of the concept for this season was to expand not just the world of the show, but even our own conception of it! With that in mind, this season features new mysteries crafted by 5 incredible guest artists including Bob Raymonda (Forgive Me!, Windfall), Newton Schottelkotte (Where the Stars Fell), Christopher Hainsworth (Monstrous Regiment, Midnight Cowboy), Sam Robotham (Dead Coats, Chocolate Grandpa), and Shawn Pfautsch & Jessica Ridenour (The Green Heron; Season on the Line and Captive)!
Serialized Mysteries! That’s right: along with our season-long arc, within this season you can expect full-meal, original, beginning-to-end mysteries! Fawx & Stallion are getting new cases and you are going to see more of them than ever before, in our love letter to the Golden Age of Detective Fiction!
More World Building! One of our favorite things that came from Season Two was getting to explore our version of Victorian London. This season we really dove in on that idea, getting a larger picture of the colorful characters and ludicrous locations that make up the world of the show, including (but not limited to) the West End, the Victorian Culinary Scene, Secret Clubs, the Sewers of London, a Yacht Party, a Trip to the Countryside, and Big Ben!
New Characters! Season Three is easily the most expansive season we’ve done so far, and with that expanse comes a dearth of new characters, new voices, and new stories. We've got over 100 characters in this new season!
Special Surprises! You didn’t think we’d show all our cards in the crowdfund, did you? As much as we’d love to, all we’ll say is this season is so special in the evolution of Fawx & Stallion, the show and characters. Maybe it includes talking animals! Maybe one of them gets a dog! Maybe there are musical numbers! Who knows…?
My humble thanks to all the people who donated to the kickstarter (still a few days left btw!) and to @224bbaker and all the cast and crew who work so hard to bring us such delightfully silly characters! 💕
We are in the final stretch of the Kickstarter - 3 days left - and our stretch goal is a mere $750 away! At $11,000, we not only have a bit more insurance in case of unforeseen overages, which means our producers have less to cover out of our own pockets in the inevitable case that things come up, but we also theoretically, if disasters do not strike, will be able to pay ourselves (Lauren and Ian) a very small stipend for writing, directing, dialogue editing, and promoting this thing!
In the interest of making things fun for everyone when the main "WE DID IT" is over, we offer you one final game: if we hit $11,000, we'll add another bonus sticker to all physical tiers. And this one will be related to season 3 so you can consider it a sneak peek - as well as being one of our favorite jokes of the season. So if there's anyone you know waiting to pull the trigger, or on the fence, or any sticker enthusiasts who just like things in groups of 6 instead of 5, send them our way in this home stretch!

Last Audio Drama Sunday before the end of the Beck's End Kickstarter Campaign!
You like queer female leads, intriguing mysteries that hint at conspiracy and things grander and older than anything human, gorgeous music and soundscapes, spectacular performances from incredible actors, and uplifting historically underrepresented voices, right?
A new atmospheric folk horror audio drama set in a remote English village, where something ancient stirs beneath the water.
We're immensely grateful for the support and signal boosting we have already received, and we're getting closer every day, but the funding is still not guaranteed and we're in the final stretch now! Please help make sure that we can actually make this series, we wouldn't want you to miss out on everything we have planned 💚
A new atmospheric folk horror audio drama set in a remote English village, where something ancient stirs beneath the water.
Hey folks!
Let's talk about Beck's End and why you should support it!!
In the UK historically, Northern voices and rural voices are too often left out of the conversation. A lot of this is just straight up classism - for Americans, think Appalachia or the Deep South.
It also has very deep historical roots here in the UK - the Northerners resisted the Norman invasion after 1066 and were punished for that by having all their woodlands and farmlands burned and then sown with lime (the mineral) to poison the soil so that they had to be dependent on southern agriculture for food. You can still see the effect this scarring of the landscape had on the land today (it's why we have the Yorkshire moors that Kathy and Heathcliffe are so fond of).
Much like the way this phenomenon plays out in many countries, even today Northerners are thought of as violent, small-minded and stupid: regardless of our contributions to culture (hi, The Beatles). The North of England is profoundly and unfairly underfunded by the government for things like state infrastructure - from transport to healthcare.
So for me, (Ella), as someone who lives in the North, making Beck's End isn't any old audio drama project. It's really meaningful to me that it's a series that's set in the North of England, starring a cast from the North and working with a crew from the North. That's actually kind of a big deal.
Right now we're 69% (nice) funded with 8 days to go. If you're able to lend us some financial support, please consider doing so. If you can't for any reason, please consider giving us a signal boost.
Thank you so much as always for your support of independent artists.
We're a little late to the party - of course, the day of and day after we hit the greenlight were the very days we were too busy to post about the greenlight, never let it be said the universe doesn't have a sense of humor - but WE HIT 100% which means FAWX & STALLION SEASON 3 IS HAPPENING! We can't wait to get to work on bringing this season to life with this fantastic team of indie creators - some of them who you can see in the picture above! In fact, we sent our first scheduling email out today, that's how ready we are to get this show on the metaphorical road!
We truly cannot thank our fans, the audio fiction community, even the people who statistically must exist (?) who just found us on Kickstarter and threw us a few bucks, enough. Creating indie art is a labor of love and it is labor, which I know from experience we will feel in the upcoming months, but today it's all love. Thank you to everyone who has stuck with this show as, every season, we learn how to make this show even that little bit better than before. To our backers at all levels and our Patreon members, we will be sharing exclusive looks behind the scenes as we dive into production next month - and it's not too late to get onboard that train! We have 7 days left for you to pledge - and we may have an extra incentive for hitting 11,000 (at which point Ian and Lauren actually get paid!) coming your way.
But all of that is for later. Today, we simply thank you so very much. As we said in season 2, you remember the things that matter. Thank you for remembering us, detectives, and going above and beyond to give us the chance to do this very special thing. We most certainly will never forget.
always amazed when characters with one random scene together get paired off but hey, just happy to see watson being shipped with some other guy for a change. it was getting boring around here for a bit, get this guy some variety and make holmes work for it for once!

93% funded, detectives! The light at the end of the tunnel draws near! And speaking of lights at the ends of various tunnels...episode eight of season three will be The Curse of the Venturesome Vermin, by Ian Geers and Lauren Grace Thompson, story by Chris Hainsworth! We were so delighted to collaborate with Chris, who you'll know as Commissioner Entwhistle and other voices from Fawx & Stallion seasons one and two!
Chris is a Chicago-based actor and playwright, known for his prolific work within the Chicago theatre community, and for his stage adaptations of Hunger by Elise Blackwell, Monstrous Regiment by Sir Terry Pratchett, Midnight Cowboy by James Leo Herlihy, Fable-ous! adapted from Aesop’s Fables, and the 6 part audio drama adaptation of Sense & Sensibility by Jane Austen, all with Lifeline Theatre. He has played Mycroft in multiple regional Sherlock Holmes adaptations, including opposite our very own Katie McLean Hainsworth as Sherlock Holmes herself in Miss Holmes and Miss Holmes Returns. He's a dear friend to us and the show, and we know you're going to love this dark, silly corner of the world he shepherds the show into as we turn into the final act.
