It’s 1930s Chicago, the World’s Fair is in full swing while tensions grow in Europe. But for Adoncia Martinez her greatest problems are closer to home. As close as her heart which is filled with concerns over what her purpose as a modern woman should be. Where her passion project lies.
Enter her new maid, Danika Batrovic, a woman that may from the outside appear like a damsel in distress, but contains a fire that draws Adoncia to her in ways she never expected. And when their passions combine their lives and the lives of those around them will be changed forever.

i think we should be ridiculing them more for this. you don't get to try and go all "queer website" when your staff likes to go on nuking sprees targeting the trans fem users
would be remiss not to mention that the rainbow notably straight up just removed the trans flag colors from it. like they’re gone. it’s the progress flag minus the trans flag colors.
rewatching wednesday season 2 and the whole scene with Capri talking about Alfie has me suspicious.
Something is off with teh way she reacted to seeing Wednesday with the folder she'd put together of the story of her and Alfie. the folder that is put together more like a serila killers memento mori than anything. and then teh talk about the Handler ordering Alfie to kill Capri and Capri turning into a wolf in order to stop this. we haven't seen her shift once. she's claimed to be a werewolf, but what if she's the Handler of Alfie and took over teh life of Capri, assuming her persona after everything, taking over teh life of the musically inclined werewolf in order to find a new Hyde to replace her lost one. One that just so happened to have lost their previous handler.

Just have to say this, but if Tumblr had been around during Charlie's Angel (2000) they would have been the Polytrix of back then.
I know the more recent movie tried to capture the magic of that first movie, but it just didn't have the same impact for me as it did seeing those three beautiful women tow the line between flirting and being friends
Looking for something you can do to help authors you love (like meeeeeeeeeeee), but you don't want to spend money right now?
Ask your local library to order our books! Not only does this support us, it also makes it easier for you get your friends to also read the books you enjoyed! Then you can talk to them about books! Libraries are great!
Since some of you don't seem to understand how this 'new notes' thing works, I'll break it down:
I'm the OP. I'm making this post. If you like, comment, reblog (without comment) on this post, then I'm the one who will see all those notes in my activity page.
However...
If you reblog (with comment), I will get a notification that you did that, but any likes/comments/reblogs (without comment) you get on that reblog will only be shown to you. As OP I won't see them.
If someone adds a reblog (with comment) to your reblog...as OP I won't see that. I won't see any of those notes in my activity page.
Basically, if someone with a large following makes a comment, then they will get all the notes and OP will see nothing. If OP has said something silly because they're, y'know, 21 and it happens, and then someone reblogs it onto the dash of someone with a large following who then dunks on them for fun? OP doesn't see it, doesn't get notes for it, but they're gonna get the harrassment for it in their inbox.
If I, someone with a 5 digit follower count, reblog something to correct misinformation on Ancient Egypt, then OP will never see it unless it was on the original post, but I will continue to get notes on that post even though it's not my post. If I reblog fanart, or just art in general, with a comment like 'Oh this is so lovely!' then OP will not see any of the notes from people reblogging it from me. They'll only see my reblog. So it's possible for an art post by someone else to have 200 notes for them, but 9000 for someone who reblogs it with a comment, and the OP artist will have no idea it's been seen by that many people.
It's killing blow to the community we've built here, by someone higher up who doesn't understand that being able to see all the comments and reblogs is what makes this site the place I keep coming back to.
That's what sucks.
I encourage people to go to tumblr's support page, select contact support, and then in the dropdown menu select 'Feedback' and leave polite and constructive feedback (for those of you who enjoy 'emails worded politely but are a strong 'are you an idiot?', try that way of wording it). They're more likely to listen to you if you're not an asshole about it. I've already gone and done this, and I hope others will too.

For those that don't know Kang Hye-Won from Friendly Rivalry was in an ad campaign that had the feel of a Kdrama with a twist. The concept had me obsessed and I created a whole universe for the main female lead with original characters and storylines.
The first "episode" is below along with the link to my patreon where everything I've written up till now is available for those who follow the account. I post as the inspiration and motivation hits, but I do have a roadmap of storylines and arcs worked out so there is going to be a good amount of content.
It was scene straight out of a drama as warm natural light came through an eastern window softly lighting the lecture hall. Out of focus around the room other students worked as the light framed a young woman seated alone within a row of seats. Waiting for class to start the young woman diligently highlighted notes from a previous lecture.
Seated along the aisle she was not surprised when a presence lingered at the space beside her aisle. Before she had a chance to make room for them to slide past a set of books dropped on top of her own, letting out a loud thud that shook the table
Light from the back windows lit one side of the young man’s face, leaving the other half of his face in shadow as he scowled down at her.
“Move.”
Thrown off by this response she stared up at him, her large brown eyes appearing doe-like in the glow of the windows. A subtle change came to the line of her brow as she found she recognized the guy.
It had been night.
Coming back from the convenience store she’d heard a soft voice speaking to someone. As she moved closer she heard a gentle purring in response.
Under the yellow glow of a street lamp she found a young man crouched beside a small kitten. Within the halo of light the man gently ran his knuckles down the back of the kitten as it greedily consumed a bowl of food. Next to the bowl sat an open bag of cat food.
As she watched the man smile warmly at the kitten she realized she knew him from college. At school his expression was always cold, his demeanor closed off, as his responses were always clipped and short as if he had no patience for anyone. It was an unexpected juxtaposition to find him here now, smiling softly down at the small helpless kitten. It was like he was a completely different person. Someone, that given enough time, could be just as warm and loyal to those he cared about.
As she considered what it might take to win over such a person she decided—IDGAF.
It didn’t matter how warm he might be once his affections were won over, she was not about to let some tsundere type push her around.
Meeting his hard gaze she responded to his order with a piercing, “Hey! I’m obviously sitting here. You move!”
Keeping up the assault with a string of curses she watched the guy stumbled back. His turn to stare in stunned to silence at the unexpected response. Grabbing his books he retreated to the back of the lecture hall.
Halfway up the stairs he risked a look back, finding her still glaring at him as her lips snarled in a curse that sounded like a tiger’s growl. Turning away with a puppy’s whimper he continued his retreat.
That night, crouched beneath the yellow glow of a street lamp, he sadly petted the kitten while lamenting over how it was the only one to understand him.
It’s okay Tsundere. People might not understand you, but Xurina understands kittens and what they need to grow up strong and healthy. That’s why every bag of kitten food provides a head start to a lifetime of health. And every bag is formulated to fully supply your kitten’s growth and development today and tomorrow.
Tsundere lets out another defeated sigh as his chin drops to his chest.
recently my friend's comics professor told her that it's acceptable to use gen AI for script-writing but not for art, since a machine can't generate meaningful artistic work. meanwhile, my sister's screenwriting professor said that they can use gen AI for concept art and visualization, but that it won't be able to generate a script that's any good. and at my job, it seems like each department says that AI can be useful in every field except the one that they know best.
It's only ever the jobs we're unfamiliar with that we assume can be replaced with automation. The more attuned we are with certain processes, crafts, and occupations, the more we realize that gen AI will never be able to provide a suitable replacement. The case for its existence lies on our ignorance of the work and skill required to do everything we don't.
The idea of “but everyone knows that” needs to stop.
I saw a post about someone chiding Millennials for not knowing about JKRowlings transphobia, and asking how it is at all possible that people can exist in the world and the internet and, you know, not know.
Which I mean, I get. It is so present in so many of my online spaces that it seems astounding that someone could simply be ignorant! It feels impossible!
But let me tell you a story:
I went on a girls trip with a bunch of friends. All of us are rather incredibly liberal and all of us are incredibly online.
One girl would not stop talking about Harry Potter.
At one point, another girl asked her why she was ok with supporting it, and she had no real clue that JK Rowling was at all transphobic. She had heard that she likes to support Lesbian causes and thought “oh ok cool!” And that was it. She was AGOG with the news and rather horrified.
I must once again emphasize that she was an incredibly online person. She’s a foodie and a restaurant blogger.
Later in the trip we were picking restaurants and I suggested one I found on Google, and she gasped at me. Actually gasped, asking how I could ever be okay picking that one.
The shock must’ve been on my face, because she then told me all of the shitty things that restaurateur does. He abuses staff. Underpays them. Fires them on a whim. Is known for being one of the worst people to his employees in the entire restaurant business on this coast.
And she was so shocked I had never heard of this. Because in her mind, I was just as online as her. And in her online world, EVERYONE knew about this guy.
So I think the moral of this story is: always approach the other person with some empathy. Even online people, even people you think MUST know about how bad people are, may not have heard. It may truly be just them being on a different sphere of the internet than you.
So be gentle, be kind when letting people know they might not have heard about the cancellation of XYZ person. Don’t assume that everyone knows all the same info as you.
By all means, let them know so they can make informed decisions, but being kind will go a lot further than attacking them for some info they might not know yet.

"A marriage ending isn't a failure at all. I spent eleven years with her. We were so in love that we couldn't image life apart from each other. We got our own place, adopted a dog, and supported each other through school. I thought if tow people loved each other enough the rest would fall into place, except... love isn't everything.
And I didn't want to believe that, but we were sitting in counseling one day, talking about our future and I realized we were describing two completely different lives. Where we'd live, what kind of life we wanted, what made us happy. And it hit me that- I love this woman and this woman loved me. And after eleven years of loss, grief, career changes, we were so deeply in love... but we weren't aligned. And I kept thinking 'We just need to try harder. We can find some compromise to make this work,' because that's what you're supposed to do when you love someone, right?
But the reality was, we had just become different people. Her trade school took her in one direction, my graduate degree in another and trying to force us back into who we were five years ago wasn't coming from a place of love. It was coming from a place of fear. Fear that, if this ended, it meant we wasted eleven years. But sitting there across from her, I realized: That's not how love works.
Those eleven years happened. They were real. The dog, our home, showing up for each other through grad school and trade school. I wouldn't change a single thing because loving someone doesn't mean you're meant to stay with them forever. And letting go doesn't erase what you had. We measure marriage by whether it lasts forever or not, but what if we measured it by whether it mattered?
What if we measured it by the love we gave, the life we built, and the people we became? Because love's job isn't to last forever, it's to help you become fully completely yourself, and sometimes the most loving thing you can do is give each other permission to be yourselves, separately. But the dog doesn't know were' divorced. He just gets two Christmases now."
Pulled this from this guy Preston Rakovsky's Instagram (@prestonrack) because it is a beautiful perspective on love, marriage, and relationships in general.
