With Izzy only chasing after Stede because Ed told him to, but Stede doesn't believe that and thinks Izzy's just obsessed with him and they keep finding themselves in scenarios where Izzy has Stede at his mercy, but he's not supposed to kill him so Stede just gains a greater appreciation for Izzy's skill

And Izzy just keeps being baffled as to why Stede is still alive and then he sees him doing something cool and is like "Well. Fuck. He's hot"
