Tried to capture my first experience with a cadaver in class. Messy and unorganised bc i needed to capture the feeling. It was a head specimen we had to examine for head anatomy. and I lifted him up. and he was very light because it was a transverse section (cut through the middle). He looked like any old man like I could see his eyelashes and his nose hair and the white hair on a bit of skin that stayed on. Ended up spending the day thinking about bioessentialism and how everything we ever experience is truly just that cold piece of flesh I pressed my fingers into
I don’t know what I did to deserve this experience but I’m grateful for it thank you to this old man and his family for donating and fuck I’m so grateful for getting a good education
