i feel like barok and ryunosuke probably argue over the most inane bullshit and enjoy every moment of it! like yes, sometimes they argue about important topics, but that usually leads to them trying to understand each other’s perspectives and taking a break if necessary. this, on the other hand, is arguing for sport, and they rarely concede. it’s just genuinely unimportant shit that neither of them really cares about like which shoe they put on and take off first and why one makes more sense logically even though it’s entirely subjective
ryunosuke likes pushing barok’s buttons by making ridiculous statements as though they are objective facts, and barok knows ryuu is trying to goad him into an argument. but he just can’t help but respond in kind, even when he promises himself he ought to be mature enough to not succumb to such an obvious tactic! at first, their friends think they’re actually making each other upset until they eventually realize bickering is just. one of the ways barok and ryuu share affection and connect. they all learn to roll their eyes and leave them to it, although every now and then kazuma or susato or iris have their own equally strong opinions argued just as fiercely as ryunosuke and barok
